Buyer's beware and be INFORMED. I would give ZERO stars but I can't. https://consumered.georgia.gov/ask-ed/2024-10-16/dealer-fee-was-not-included-advertised-vehicle-price DO your I would give ZERO stars but I can't. https://consumered.georgia.gov/ask-ed/2024-10-16/dealer-fee-was-not-included-advertised-vehicle-price DO your research and know Georgia Law that is suppose to prevent dealerships from these deceitful practices. The ADVERTISED price on the internet or any the dealer puts out MUST INCLUDE any non-government fees ("doc/dealer/consumer fee") in the advertised and can not be TACKED on. McDonough Hyundai even has this written in their fine print. When I went to try to purchase a vehicle with the advertised price of $25,988 and asked for the out of door price. I got the dealer printed price quote, which TACKED on $899 dealer fee and also $1499.00 Permaplate charge. I told them I didn't want Permaplate coating. I screenshot their own ad that stated the advertised price INCLUDED dealer fees and the doubled down on the permaplate as a required cost as "put the permaplate on the vehicle within a couple days of arrival". As I type this review I get a text back from the dealer saying the vehicle I was interested SOLD. Very convenient timing as the advertised vehicle has been also wiped from the stock and there is no trace of it. I would hope that this is NOT SOP for this dealer as it is against GA law, but I bet if people looked a little closer at their contracts they may just be surprised. Just hoping to save someone from getting charged TACKED on "dealer fees" etc. DO YOUR RESEARCH and LOOK over every fee before you sign. Of course, they did not apologize they just tried to put me in another vehicle and "honor" the advertised price and conditions. This is probably still on the lot don't let them over charge you!! The AG of GA should take a look at this dealers advertising practice-sales transactions. Again, all advertised prices are legally suppose to include all non-governmental fees and I have the the saved documents and the screenshots of the vehicle before they pulled it of the internet. People you are likely getting charged additional $2500 at least - and when you try to tell them they are not suppose to do that they come up with another excuse and suddenly the vehicle is sold and advertisement pulled from the internet. I did find the vehicle I was looking for at another Hyundai dealership...it was in Chattanooga TN and might be worth the drive. I did everything online a Long Hyundai is who I ended up getting the same vehicle I was looking at that salesperson was transparent and did not xx or haggle or insult my intelligence. More
I agree if I could have a negative 5 I would. These people are only thinking about the money. They will suckered you into a bad car no matter what you tell them is going on in your life. They a These people are only thinking about the money. They will suckered you into a bad car no matter what you tell them is going on in your life. They are not honest people I was lied to in order to get me to the dealership, when I specifically asked if I was approved and agreed upon. A specific vehicle and a specific deal I was told yes mam. Ok. Got me. Well I specifically asked the dealer about what if something goes wrong woth this car when I get it off the lot. ? What is the policy? How many days is it covered for yall to handle the situation? I was told to contact my salesman that they aren't like that and they will work it out. Well its like I test drive a totally different car that day. I get home next day get in it and my brakes are metal to metal the antenna is broke its idling high and hard. And I didnt receive the tank of gas I signed saying I was getting. Not only that I didnt receive any of the paperwork I signed for the purchase agreement. Only thing I got was for finance department. I contacted the salesman and his attitude is totally different now. He starts talking to me like im crazy that I dont hear the metal to metal sound coming from the front drivers side wheel, like I dont notice broken things or feel the car struggling to run it seems. Ive contacted him for days. Has not tried to fix any of his wrongs. I have text on my phone to prove they were despetive for weeks , im pretty sure it is illegal also to not tell me what kinda car I was actually buying and to with hold my paperwork of the information about the car and contract yeah very illegal. I have tried contact higher management with success in a way but ive gotten no response for a solution so ive contacted the attorney general AND BBB , I will now move forward with a lawyer More
If I could give them zero stars I would. They damaged the under carriage cover on my car and left it hanging. I reported it to them after my car was returned to me oily and dirty. I even fol They damaged the under carriage cover on my car and left it hanging. I reported it to them after my car was returned to me oily and dirty. I even followed up with pictures. It fell off while I was on a road trip 300 miles outside of atlanta. I had to drive with it hanging and dragging all the way home. I then went to speak with the service manager Steven and also the advisor Tony who refuse to take ownership of the crappy service provided by their tech. No one here will return your call or text. And you can never reach anyone here. DO NOT GO HERE. RUN!!!!! They had no problem accepting 2000 for a starter replacement but then treat you like trash. Steven should not be in a managers position if he's not going to keep his word with the customers. More
I came to Hyundai McDonough for a VW Jetta GLI they got as a trade in. The service was good for the most part during the sale. The salesman was courteous and caring. They got me pre-approved for the car, h as a trade in. The service was good for the most part during the sale. The salesman was courteous and caring. They got me pre-approved for the car, had it ready for a test drive when I showed up. Didn't try to pressure me into the sale, kept me informed etc. The issues didn't really start until after the sale. First and foremost, my APR was 2 points higher than I was told it would be, I missed it on the paperwork, that's my fault. However I wasn't told about the increase during signing. In fact the finance rep told me he got the payment down and dropped the APR by a point over the original total. It wasn't until I logged in to make my first payment that I saw the change. I also dealt with Mr. Kim to sign final paperwork when I picked up the car. When I say I've never dealt with a more rude, dry, entitled individual, I mean it with every ounce of my being. Terrible attitude and no care for his fellow man. I brought this up to my salesman, and he offered a $50 gas card for my troubles and stated that I wasn't the first person to make this complaint. The gas card never showed up in the mail. I also called about the increase in the interest rate. I spoke with the sales manager and he said he didn't handle the sale so he is unfamiliar with the interaction... and left it at that. He didn't act as though he was interested in getting to the bottom of anything. He said all of this with the insinuation that I would just accept the issues because he didn't know anything about it. No promise to look into it, no apology, nothing. I suggested that he talk to his team and familiarize himself, and he said he would call me back. That was 2-3 weeks ago. I never got a call, nor the fuel card that I was promised. I contacted my salesman about the card several times after the purchase, and of course never actually got the card in the mail. It seems as though you're important until you've signed your paperwork. It's all about the sale, and nothing more. That's fine, I only spent thousands of dollars with the company, I guess that doesn't warrant any sort of aftercare or quality assurance. Only broken promises, lies and temporary candor. It's safe to assume I won't use this dealership again, and wouldn't recommend them to anyone else for that matter. Very disappointing! More
