McFarland Ford of Rochester - Service Center

McFarland Ford was great to work with and purchase a vehicle from. They didn't hassle me on using my own financing and overall I am happy with the sale. However, the Hyundai that I purchased stated in t vehicle from. They didn't hassle me on using my own financing and overall I am happy with the sale. However, the Hyundai that I purchased stated in the sale ad that keyless entry was an included option, and the dealership couldn't find the key to the vehicle when I came to look at it. The key I was given after the sale seemed like just a regular spare key and no key fob included. I understand that I could go to the Hyundai dealership and purchase a new key fob and have it programmed there, however this was not discussed at the sale, and I feel the vehicle should not have been advertised to include the option of keyless entry. I do understand that people are human and it is easy to lose keys. But, the salesperson could have told me that they needed an extra hour to take the vehicle to the dealership so they could program a new key fob for me instead of sending me away with a spare key that appears brand new and aftermarket More

Service was 800$ more expensive than the price that was discussed and agreed upon with service advisor. A very frustrating situation at the time of pick up. Service advisor called for tech recommended services I asked what the “out the door price was” he told me “1080$ all in”. The total service price ended up being 1800$. I don’t mind the price and understand the services are needed. I would have had the dealer do the work over the next two oil changes to better fit my budget. All in all I’ve been going to this dealership for over 10 years for all my service needs. I bought a brand new F250 there and would recommend them. However there appears to have been a lot of turnover in the service department and maybe some training is in order to ensure happy customer/company experiences. More

Called my purchase dealer and they said 2 - 3 weeks before they could get to it, talked to Dan Tuesday and he said bring it right up, found the probl Called my purchase dealer and they said 2 - 3 weeks before they could get to it, talked to Dan Tuesday and he said bring it right up, found the problem and fixed it by 4:30 that day. He also told me I had a backup camera recall so he ordered that for me and he came in a couple hundred bucks under the estimate. I will definitely be going there in the future and will probably try them for my next purchase. More
