My 2007 Tacoma had seen the best and worse of life and was finally a bigger money pit that I could afford --- it was standard and my toy. I however had a done a lot of research for weeks true-ing to decide to do one more fix or trade. The repair shop was willing to put it on the lift at no cost and help me decide. They are very straight forward and I was ready for whatever. They explained the good and the bad and I made my own decision without pressure or "suggestions" from the eager sales crew....they were so thoughtful and truly NO pressure.
Since I am a woman, retired teacher and small time farmer, it needed to be a truck. I had a list for a new vehicle (List- long bed, standard, 2015 or newer, double cab, 4x4, v6, low mileage, warranted and certified).
Expecting to have to do some hunting, I thanked them. However, wouldn't you just know that there a re angels out there looking at the situation. I was asked to look at a particular one that had been taken in and had just been reduced... Now remember the list--this one had the long bed, 2016, low mileage, 4x4, V6, double cab, and certified!!!!! I was frustrated that after 55 years of driving a standard I would have to yield to an automatic.
I worked with them for a good hour of sharpening pencils while the negotiation took place for a price I could manage. When I went out to really try things out, I discovered the best of both worlds with the shifting and I love it ---- In the end I think we both came out fine with the deal.
The people I met throughout the process were more than kind and not pushy or "paying the game", I enjoyed a few cups of hot chocolate while the final procedures and calls to my more than patient sales rep called my daughter to make sure the family would approve (I am no spring chicken) and would support my decision. And she was so pleased with the attitude and care they were sharing in the process with one really determined mother.
The truck was filled with gas, cleaner than brand new if that is possible, sported brand new tires, and the new owner had been introduced to all the bells and whistles that were not even known in 2007! Needless to say the color (Blazing Blue or whatever --is a bit out of character for me, but I certainly won't be feeling dull or bored in it!!! And I certainly can find it in a boring white/gray parking lot!!
I ended up with excellent coverage, benefits and a team I know that will meet the demands of a determined, opinionated, "old lady" with a lot of enthusiasm for life.
Brian Landry and his team were amazing and I certainly have already broadcast my memorable experience.
I am not sure this is what you want for a review, but the event, process, and purchase was one none of us will forget!!
