I had a dead battery earlier this week which Ithoughr was the result of an internal light left on. Triple A jump started.the car and I drove for about 40 minutes. When I stopped at a convenience store and turned the engine off, I could tell someone was wrong; I immediately tried to restart the car and found my battery to be dead. Fortunately, a Firestone dealer was nearby and provided a second jump start. I immediately traveled six miles to the McGee Toyota facility, arriving around 1:00 PM. Although I did not have an appointment, Toyota diagnosed the problem, installed a new battery and I was back home by 3:30 PM. Apparently, due to the cold weather, a battery cell had become defective so that the old battery was unable to maintain a charge. Since I had purchased it only three years earlier, the price of the new one was discounted by 50%. I was delighted to have my problem taken care of without an appointment and so quickly. More

We took in our 2015 RAV4 with a recurring tail gate locking issue. The rear hatch makes a grinding noise when closing and the open door light remains on the dash, thus wearing down the battery. Dan Prescott was the second service writer to work on our issue. He asked that we leave the car overnight to monitor the problem. Unfortunately, the issue did not present it self during that time and Dan suggested we bring it back if/when it re-occurred.. Dan very kindly explained, that simply replacing the part, might not fix the problem since they could not diagnose it properly. We appreciate Dan's patience while we work this out. The open door light has been on a few times, but opening and closing the rear hatch seems to clear it up for now. We will be in touch with Dan, should it reoccur. Thank you. More
