We had a thoroughly pleasant experience purchasing our 2024 Forester. I live in VT and was able to do most of the process online. The online sales team (Lisa and Nick) were attentive and no pressure. They provided a custom video of the actual vehicle we were interested in, which was a nice touch. When we arrived at the dealership to do the test drive, the car was waiting, and Lincoln gave us a helpful introduction to some of the features before letting us take it back out ourselves. We were buying right at the end of the model year, and the price was deeply discounted (about 11% off MSRP) before we even started, so there wasn't much in terms of negotiations (and at that price, it was absolutely fine). We did not trade in our current vehicle as we had a better offer from another non-Subaru dealer for it, although McGovern Subaru's quote was comparable to other Subaru dealer's offers to start. We might have been able to get them to do better, but didn't really try. Checkout experience was fast and easy. No endless pushing of additional warranties or anything. They delivered our car to VT the very next day. Overall, this was a bizarrely pleasant experience, and vastly different from any of the other Subaru dealers we had worked with in VT/NH/MA. This was my fourth Forester and my family's sixth, and the best purchase experience by far. I would highly recommend McGovern Subaru of Acton, and will look to them first when I'm ready for another.
