Lincoln is friendly, knowledgeable, straightforward, and not at all pushy. He helped me get the subaru I wanted for a price that was doable. Steven is finance is wonderful! He is both highly professional and efficient, and incredibly kind and personable. All in all, this was the best experience I've ever had purchasing a car. More

I had a bad experience with the finance department. They forced me to accept an upholstery insurance policy when I was brought into the finance office. They said the cost was built in to my quoted pric They forced me to accept an upholstery insurance policy when I was brought into the finance office. They said the cost was built in to my quoted price. They then made me sign a paper saying I accepted the 'optional' charges. I called a lawyer who solidly told me this was not legal in any way. I called the dealership back and said I wanted to back out of the deal and they suddenly made my optional upholstery insurance complimentary even though I didn't want it in the first place. They also called me every day reminding me to give them a ten star rating. When the call came to give the rating, I gave them 10 stars because I really don't want them chasing me down trying to make it right. You can't make dishonest business practice right and reversing your course after getting caught doing something illegal is not "making it right" it making it legal. My partner was going to make another purchase at the dealership but was turned off by the experience and purchased another car from the McGovern network. Not surprisingly she had a similar issue with the finance department in the Leominster dealership. These dealership practices really ruined the excitement of getting a new car. I would much rather order a new car directly from the manufacturer rather than deal with these dishonest and deceptive dealers. If you love making a great deal and then having the finance department add on a bunch of "mandatory" options, McGovern Subaru is for you. If you don't believe this review, try to refuse the upholstery 'option' and see what happens. Don't say you weren't warned. More
