It is true, smiling faces don't tell the real truth! And it got worse from there, when Luke unscrupulously added $1,000. + worth of some added options to the legal contract that they, namely Luke, Orlando and Tye attempted extremely hard to convinced us that it was on the rough draft contract paper. We informed all three (3) of them that it was commingled with the documentation fee and it was never explained properly. This is not the very first car we bought in the several decades in our lifetime, but the worst transaction thus far. It is a disservice to the customers when something is not elucidated properly and take them for granted like a fool, that they will not catch this stealthy technique for the bottom line of the dealership. We informed them, we are walking away, no deal if they won't remove the bogus car preparation options --- which they hesitantly removed to finally close the deal. The Mcgrath ownership must address this wrong and unlawful practice. What a real disappointment! So, future customers -- BE FOREWARNED! More

Nothing like driving an hour and a half to Chicago and back for a car they don’t have, twice. First time the lazy internet girl made an appointment for me without even checking if the car was there, even back for a car they don’t have, twice. Dennis does everything humanly possible to make the deal happen and is honest with you if he can't. Dennis knows all the incentives out there and isn't afraid to use them to make the deal happen. Dennis made the entire the process extremely streamlined but not only being a great salesman but also stepping in as a finance manager. In addition to Dennis, the support staff, which included Szymon Rola (Sales Associate) was courteous, upfront and attentive throughout the whole car buying process. All of the staff exhibited exceptional courtesy and product knowledge, which was impressive. My overall impression of McGrath Acura – Chicago was 'impressive'. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for professionalism, courtesy and a great deal. I can't imagine finding a dealer that will treat me better than McGrath Acura - Chicago and I'm just not limiting my comparison to only Acura dealers. Thank you once again to the McGrath Acura - Chicago staff. You guys truly are the best! More
Awful, awful experience from McGrath and sales rep Holly. I returned my lease and purchased a pre-owned Subaru (I know, should have gone to Berman Subaru) but I've been an Acura owner since 1994. Just let me say: the passenger side didn't work, fluids needed replacing, wipers in shreds, and oh yeah, when I went to pick up, there was a crack in the windshield-which they did agree to fix. Awful, awful , awful experience. Stay as far away as you can!!!! More

I bought a preowned 2017 DO NOT BUY A CAR THERE! I've had the absolute worst dealership experience ever with Mcgrath Acura of Downtown Chicago! I bought a preowned 2017 RDX on July 3rd of 2020. I ended up refinancing the car through my credit union within a few days of the purchase because the rate McGrath was able to get was just insanely high. I also got a better extended warranty for less through my credit union. Therein lies my problem. I've been trying to get a refund for the $1720 I paid McGrath for the extended warranty since shortly after the purchase. They've been jerking me around for 7 months! They have every excuse under the sun why they couldn't give me the money... blaming it on Covid and the insurance company. After months of constant phone calls and stopping in to make sure they hadn't forgotten about me, I finally received an email from the finance guy telling me they're cutting me a check. That was on February 3rd of 2021! 7 months to the day I purchased my car! But when I called him to see if I could stop by the dealership to pick up the check he told me that they actually couldn't send the check to me, but rather had to send it to Bank of America, who had originally financed the car. I paid for the warranty with a credit card at the dealership. The receipt has McGrath's name on it. It wasn't a part of the financing. Why do they need to send the check to B of A? I've tried getting a hold of the general manager many times to discuss this with him but no one will connect me with him. I'm sure they're all worried about their jobs, as well they should be. Contrary to what their hold recording says, if you have a problem and you don't feel like you're being treated fairly trust me when I say that you will in no way be able to get ahold of the general manager to discuss your problem. He may as well be the Pope. McGrath Acura of Downtown is a disaster! 7 months to refund MY money is just unacceptable! And who knows how long it will take for me to get the check since they sent the money to Bank of America. It just blows my mind! This is my 16th car. 13 of those I purchased through dealerships (this is my 5th Acura). This is the only problem like this I've ever had with any dealership. It just boggles my mind how bad they are. I won't buy another car there. I won't go there for service. I won't even go there for a car wash. Not one red cent will they get from me. Fortunately there are a many better options in the Chicago area. If you want to be treated well, find another Acura dealership. This is not the place. I strongly encourage you to keeping shopping!
