Scheduled a service appointment online and followed up with a confirmation call the day before my scheduled appointment. Joe kept me in the loop as to what was being done and even found something else that I needed to have repaired that was under warranty. My experiences at McGrath Acura Downtown have always been good, but the exceptional service exemplified by Joe really is the reason I keep coming back to have my car serviced here. Dishonest, sleazy and a complete waste of time. Avoid! I suggested my mother to have her MDX maintained at McGrath Acura due to their proximity to her house in downtown Chicago. She has been interested in buying an RDX for a while and inquired about it after the salespeople approached her with 0.9% interest rate leasing and financing options while her MDX was being maintained. Guillermo Perez sat us down for over an hour and wouldn't show any figures on what the costs for leasing, financing, or what the value of her current MDX is. When asked if he could provide any figures or a comparison on the monthly costs for a lease or financing, he became highly agitated and said that we don't understand the car buying process and that he couldn't provide any financing figures to us. When pushed, we were told because my mom has a "great" credit score of over 800, she would be given financing at 5%, which is a bait and switch from the initial rate of 0.9%. We were then given an inflated bill for $11,000 in maintenance charges which would "go away" if she bought a new RDX from him. Safe to say we halted all work done on her car and she is buying her new Acura elsewhere. This dishonestly, incompetence, and arrogance from McGrath Acura is bad to begin with, but completely unacceptable from a luxury car dealership. My family has had excellent experiences at Muller's Woodfield Acura in Hoffman Estates and we highly recommend them, as a substitute. More
