This negative review wouldn’t exist in the first place if they had simply honored the original agreement. I told my boyfriend I would consider taking the reviews down depending on how well they actually fixed everything. And since this review is still up, that should tell you everything you need to know—they did a terrible job. Part of what the $900 warranty supposedly covered was: - Fixing the interior (there was a hole in the seat) - Fixing the paint chips - Addressing a parking brake code that came up when I scanned the car with an engine diagnostic But here’s what they actually did: - An interior detail I could get done at a professional shop for $75 - A “paint repair” that isn’t even worth $100—honestly, it’s not worth anything (photos in the comment section). - Scanned the engine diagnostic again, then cleared the code and said it was from previous work they did So where exactly did the other $725 of this “warranty” go? Because we definitely didn’t get $725 worth of paint work, repairs, or anything else. *I will never recommend this place to anyone. Avoid this dealership at all cost* 11/13/2025: I would never recommend McGrath Acura to anyone. Our entire experience, from sales to finance to follow-up, was full of deception, pressure tactics, and unprofessional behavior. The sales manager, Dom, spent about 40 minutes trying to convince us that we had to accept a 7.99% APR, even though my bank had preapproved us for 5.6%. After going back and forth, he finally “agreed” to let us use our own bank to finance the car, but then told us we were required to purchase their $1,200 warranty because they had supposedly “undervalued” the car. We immediately pulled up Kelley Blue Book to show Dom that the price was accurate, but he kept pushing. Forcing customers to buy a warranty is illegal, by the way. We eventually agreed to a cheaper warranty only after they promised in writing to fix some interior damage, fix a parking brake code that came up with my OBD scan, and chipped paint. When we entered the finance office, the first thing the finance employee showed us was, again, a 7.99% APR. We reminded him we had a 5.6% preapproval, and he got visibly irritated, saying, “Well, unless Dom is going to pay the difference, I can’t do 5.6%.” We had to pull up our email again to prove it. He left for 20 minutes to “figure things out.” While he was gone, we looked over the paperwork and noticed more problems: The car was listed as $21,000 financed, even though the car was $18,000, the warranty was $900, and the doc fee was $365. The math didn’t add up. When we questioned it, the finance manager spoke down to us like we couldn’t do basic math, until we pulled up a calculator and showed him the numbers. He then blamed the “software” for the mistake and never apologized. It didn’t stop there. We were transferring plates from our old car, but the paperwork said we were buying new ones. When we mentioned it, the employee got defensive, flipping through papers and snapping, “Well, I don’t have it!” Then came more upsells, GAP insurance, which we declined since we were putting 25% down. He just stared at us, shook his head, and continued typing. We started the buying process around 5 PM and didn’t leave until after 9 PM. When we finally took the car in, we learned the truth: the dealership wasn’t actually fixing the chipped paint like promised, they were only applying a ceramic clear coat. To make things worse, the paperwork we signed listing those promises had “disappeared.” After reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t an isolated issue. We had to argue to get the rate down to what we were pre-approved for. Also, they tried forcing us to but a warranty, telling us we had to buy it. After telling them it was illegal to require that, they removed the warranty but talked us into a detailing process that included fixing paint chips. When we went in for the work, they said this was not included in the deal. Do not trust Dom. They will lie to you and try to squeeze everything they can get out of you. They wouldn’t even fill the tank with gas. I was ignored when I asked for proper paperwork and documentation to be provided and then they tried to give a sneaky upsell of their friends extended warranty. After driving off the lot I found that the paperwork printed was still wrong. Very shady and would not recommend as they are your stereotypical used car salesman. More

I originally left my review before the deal was finalized because I was happy with the sales process, but the financing process was a nightmare. The finance rep didn't understand we were pre-approved and what that meant for the interest rate. Then had the numbers wrong in terms of purchase price and duplicated fees on all the documents. We had to argue to reduce the interest rate and get the purchase price corrected and the finance rep was argumentative unpleasant to work with. I would not purchase another vehicle from this location, and I do not recommend anyone else giving them your business. More
