I live 3 hours away, and while playing phone tag with the salesman, I was ready to put a deposit down by CC over the phone to hold the car until I could drive there. The salesman actually cut me off and told me to call back because "someone just walked through the door". Clue #1 I should do business somewhere else.. however with a specific used car, it is difficult to cut and run. I handled all my own financing through my bank and all I needed to do was sign for the car. This was a 3 hour process. While being told I am trying to scam their dealership, i had to wait for a solid 2 hours while the salesman tried to figure out the fax machine. Finally my husband called the bank and had the documents emailed to his phone and then sent them to the salesman on his computer. He couldn't figure out how to open the attachment so my husband clicked the link for him. Then, the salesman said "no this is your mortgage paperwork"….. duh the loan application asks for your income and living expenses…. he did't read it at all..Again, my husband had to point that out. So we finally get the paperwork and the manager informs us we aren't leaving with our car unless we apply for credit through Acura "to protect them in case our bank doesn't pay" After many polite conversations with staff, (the manager had a comeback for all our reasons why we didn't want our credit ran, and said it will not affect our credit score in any way) we consented to their relentless pressure and filled out the application. Finally we are rushed to the back of the store without explanation, I admit I was a bit defensive because I was expecting a big sales pitch for the Acura financing over our bank. It turns out we were in the office of the finisher… Nick. communication would have been nice… So he asked us if we had a good experience.. I was honest and let him know his salesman could use some tech training. True. Then he forced us to sign their loan terms "just in case" he was offering us 5.99% "because our credit score was in the 600's" I said, that's funny it was 745 this morning when we signed a 4% deal with our bank… He gave my husband a hard time about giving us a courtesy call when they shred this contract. He was very perturbed and said I was blowing things out of proportion. At that point I was sick to my stomach and went outside for fresh air. My husband finished the deal, without a handshake, and we bolted out of the parking lot.. never to return. Good luck to you if you are looking for a preowned car t this establishment. The only person who treated my 20 year old daughter like a human was the shoeshine guy. He was actually really down to earth. Too bad he is stuck in this xxxx hole. More

We spoke to Amy who told us that Sam would be taking care of us. On the way there Sam called us on my husband's cell and introduced himself. When we got there we treated like royalty. He made us feel comfortable and he answered all of questions. Great personality and in my opinion warmhearted and caring. I had no doubt he was definitely getting my business. I've purchased vehicles in the past, but the experience I had today at Acura was one I will never forget. Everyone we met Amy, Adam , George and Nick were amazing! You would NOT believe the depths of deception! Words cannot begin to truly express my deep disappointment in almost every facet of this organization. I told the manager, George, and all members of his team, I was ready to purchase a vehicle as long as he could beat the offer provided by telephone. Expecting to have the original deal honored as my starting point for further discussion, I took the day off work, with a loss of wages, in order to work out the final paperwork. When I arrived at the dealership, the staff engaged in a bait and switch. I was looking to see what would set McGrath apart. After all, I had routinely been promised, "we will not be undersold." Sadly, after a 9 hour drive to and the dealership, I learned what set McGrath part: dishonest/disingenuous business practices and disregard for ethical leadership. Frankly, the actions of this organization are truly shameless. You may be tempted to simply write this complaint off as "another disgruntled person who did not get his way." I would hope the McGrath Automotive Group will see this is an opportunity to reassess the organization's practices and personnel. Failure to do so will likely be to their detriment. (I fear, it may be too late. Several colleagues with whom I have discussed this matter said, "This is not unusual. We have a saying for what happened to you. You have been 'McGrathed.'") I am in a position to do something about McGrath Acura's unlawful practices, where others are not. I feel an obligation to make sure no one has the experience I had without your organization properly addressing the internal mechanisms that permit these reckless practices to continue unabaited. The McGrath Automotive Group leadership will be hearing more about my unfortunate experience in the coming days by any and all means available (legal and otherwise). More

We love McGrath- and keep going back! Yesterday we went back to McGrath Acura and bought our third car from Paul Stewart. We have always had great experiences working with him and yesterday was no exception! He works hard to figure out exactly what you want and goes above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied. When our daughter's car died a few days ago, I thought of calling Paul to see if he had any good used cars for us. He sent us photos via text with pricing and we made an appointment to test drive a few cars in the morning. We did our homework that night and found that the pricing was excellent. When we went in to drive the cars, they were clean and ready for us at the front of the lot. It was a smooth transaction and we are very happy with the car, the price and the service. We have referred friends to Paul and they have had the same pleasant experience. We'll be needing to trade in a car or two in the next few years, and we'll be calling Paul Stewart for sure! More
