2016 Lexus NX 200t (VIN JTJYARBZ8G2045263 In late Dec. 2019, I purchased a 2016 Lexus NX 200t with less than 21,000 miles for under $25K (great price -- there's a catch)...two days after m In late Dec. 2019, I purchased a 2016 Lexus NX 200t with less than 21,000 miles for under $25K (great price -- there's a catch)...two days after my purchase the check engine light came on. After researching the service history through VIN, this same SUV had the same issue in Feb. 2019 -- which MotorWerks knew about since they had the SUV serviced at two Lexus dealers in Nov. 2019. I took the vehicle to a Lexus dealer for an inspection...small world...this same dealer saw this SUV in February....and informed me (as they did the previous owner) that the SUV had been in an accident and the EVAP fuel line had a leak (cost to repair: $2,000). I complained to the General Manager (T. Kioutas) who told me that his dealership was unaware of this issue and they don't need to hide information to sell one car (they sell hundreds). Fortunately, I was able to void this sale. Imagine my horror when I look on their website a few days later --- guess what??!! -- they have the same SUV for sale (even though they know of this issue with the EVAP system...with the accident to the left rear who knows what else is wrong with this vehicle). Do yourself a favor -- DO NOT PURCHASE from this dealer! And research the VIN# of vehicles prior to your purchase (do not rely solely on Carfax -- in case issues are not reported via Carfax). STAY AWAY from this unscrupulous dealer. More

I purchased a 2016 S550 Mercedes from Motor Werks of Barrington 3 weeks ago. When the car was delivered it was missing one set of keys and the tire inflation kit which they promised to forward to me ASA Barrington 3 weeks ago. I tried contacting my salesman, no response. I contacted the finance Moreno did call back 2 days later. He promised all would be taken care of and call me last Saturday. Still no response. Now I have a flat tire. I called the dealership and spoke with the sales mgr who said there’s nothing he could do, call back tomorrow! I told him I’m sitting at a gas station in a car I can’t drive because they did not take care of sending me the items they were responsible for. His reply... “ what do you want me to do about it” Word of caution... be careful using this dealership because once you drive of their lot... they could care less! More
