We were immediately comfortable with Tom. He took the time to carefully find out what we were looking for and patiently listened to our story. I had previously purchased a 2009 ML350 and LOVED that car (217K miles!). Tom helped me learn about all the new features in the GLE class, but also to carefully compare the differences between a 2018 and a 2019. He understood that this was an investment I was making to last me the next 10 years and wanted to be very sure of my purchase. He really knows the product he is selling and believes in the quality. He is a good shepherd, representing the Mercedes-Benz name and the Motor Werks dealership with respect and integrity. Tom was also very attentive to us- reaching out, seeing if we had questions, willing to put 2 cars side by side to visually compare (that was his idea!), and even following up post sale to check in. He always had our best interest in mind- never did we get the feeling he was trying to make a deal. He was quietly selling to us, without making us feel like we were being sold to. That is one of the best qualities of superior salesmen. For a couple of days we had a collaborative partnership with Tom- I’m glad to have crossed paths with him. Superior salesman are the one’s you remember and return to when your need arises next time. I highly recommend Tom to anyone in the market to buy a car. While the sales admitted the crack on the touch pad and promised to take care of it, I put down deposit and processed the purchase. Later on they broke the promise when they found it costs 1800-2000 to repair. During this period I visited Barrington Motor Werk dealer and got to know Zach. He knows I already made purchase but still was responsive to my questions on text message. Without expectation that he could earn my business, he simply helped as he could. Those were tiny helps but he didn't have to provide and most other sales may not provide either. These details convinced me that he is a sincere and warm-heart person who cares client's interest more than just a sales number. I ended up buying the same car from Zach. He also made extra step by creating excel sheets, making it easier and more efficient for his clients. Obviously this guy loves sales and care about people, not just definite clients. Zach couldn't help me get a big cut from the list price but this didn't change my impression on him. Working with this kind of sales you do have peace and trust in mind. Highly recommend Zach! Also appreciate James Ramirez who spontaneously approached me with great manner and helpfulness when Zach was busy with other clients. More
