This was my first new Benz purchase and the Barrington Motorwerks location along with James were a pleasure to work. They were not pushy at all and worked with me to make sure they could do their best to match my priorities. As with any car purchase, make sure you set aside a few hours if not days and negotiate to the best of your ability. Compared to other dealerships they seemed to try just that little bit harder to get you the deal you want without making you feel as if you're overreaching. I would recommend that if you are able to at least visit the dealership before making a purchase elsewhere to do so. The drive from Chicago out to Barrington will be worth the price and purchase experience. More

I did have issues with a few missing items and bad brakes when the car arrived (bought sight unseen) but they stepped up, shipped me all the missing items and paid for the brake job that was needed. When buying a car sight unseen it is great to do so from a dealership you can trust. Doing so from reviews alone is a little nerve-racking also. But everybody I interacted with was great. We had a few miscommunication issues and time to resolution could improve. Once Joe contacted me though he lined up all the resolutions. They also could have walked away and gone with "As Is" and they chose to earn a repeat customer. More

Very pleasant transaction My wife and I went to Motorwerks in Barrington, the Mercedes dealer, to buy a used Prius. We almost left with a used Mercedes. The Mercedes c class wa My wife and I went to Motorwerks in Barrington, the Mercedes dealer, to buy a used Prius. We almost left with a used Mercedes. The Mercedes c class was the best car I have ever driven. In the end, we restrained ourselves and purchased the Prius. The Prius was about $1500 under market price and in tip top condition. Even so, I am still kicking myself for not buying the Mercedes. We dealt with an online representative named Bortolo Rocha. At the store we were helped by Brian Owen and John Nuzzo. Mr. Nuzzo took good care of us, and when my wife's eye was caught by a Mercedes, he took us for a ride. I was completely unfamiliar with the Mercedes brand until then. Hopefully one day I will be back at Motorwerks buying a Mercedes from John Nuzzo. I would describe Mr. Nuzzo, Rocha, and Owen, as gentlemen. We got a great deal on the Prius and met some really good people. The transaction was smooth and pleasant. No pressure, and a lot of fun driving and talking about cars. I think a lot of dealers out there could learn something from Motorwerks. If we ever need another car, I am thinking it will be a used Mercedes, and Barrington Mercedes Motorwores has it, I will be giving John Nuzzo a call. More

From the very first contact, I felt like they were there to help me find the best car for me for the best price. Zach is extremely knowledgeable about all the Mercedes cars but also was able to provide me with good comparisons with other makes. He is also very personable and genuine. Larry goes above and beyond. I bought a gls450 from motorwerks and i only got one 1 key with it. After calling and leaving Messages and texts nothing was happening. Larry answered I bought a gls450 from motorwerks and i only got one 1 key with it. After calling and leaving Messages and texts nothing was happening. Larry answered my call and took care of it right away. He checked to make sure the key was there and made me an appointment to get it programmed. The nice thing was he did it all on his own and called me when it was all set up and made it super easy on me. He goes above and beyond. More
Deceptive Online Sales Scam Purchased a 2014 E550 convertible as an out of state buyer, sight unseen, trusting the dealership to be upfront and forthcoming with any issues with t Purchased a 2014 E550 convertible as an out of state buyer, sight unseen, trusting the dealership to be upfront and forthcoming with any issues with the vehicle and honest about maintenance. Upon receipt of the car, the battery was bad, the brakes were warped/rusted and required replacement on all 4 corners. The interior was filthy. A large gash in the paint, along with cracked interior components, damage to carpet and a broken shifter had been omitted from photos, videos and explanations purposely. Although the service meter had been reset, the oil removed from the vehicle was black, and the air filters clogged visibly with leaves, sand, and debris. The manuals, a second Keyfob, and the required locking lug key were not included with the vehicle. Calls go largely unreturned as do emails. The dealer had initially offered to replace damaged interior components, and pay $500 of the brake cost ($1600 Mercedes service), and then has gone dark. The kicker is that there was 300 miles left on the warranty. The batteries and shifter were done under warranty by my local dealership, or would have been another $2000 in service. I have no paperwork in hand (maybe you send that with the car?) to even put tags on the thing at this point. I have given them every opportunity to respond and address these issues and they continue to ignore me. I would never do business with this establishment. More
