There was a drastic decline in the standard of service this year. I had to call 11 times just to get an appointment. They said it was due to staff shortages but there’s really no excuse for this. I didn’t get the service advisor I requested and the feedback from my appointment was substandard. I expected much more from the service dept, I always have had my car detailed wherever I have taken my car. After having my car for almost a week I was disappointed that it hadn’t been cleaned. I am a fan of Mercedes-Benz but my last car service was very bad. I had my car in service on 3/3/22 because of the engine light was on plus there was a problem with the key, could not open the doors. I met Ryan ( service advisor-nice guy and very helpful). It took 6 days to keep at the shop and ordered parts before they can work it. There was no loaner car, I had to rent a car on my own for 6 days (lots of expenses). The car was repaired on Thursday 3/10/22. I picked it up and drove home. When I was ready to work that my night and drove above 30 mph then I heard a loud noise in the engine compartment. Of course, I could not go to work(not good). I rove a car hone and opened the hood to check it out. There was a cover on top did not snap in. I corrected and thought it works but it still had the same noise.,I decided to call Ryan and bring the car in take a look at it. They found out the Mechanic who worked on my car forgot to tight the nuts and bolts on a piece plastic underneath the car, therefore, it made a very loud noise when you drive over 30 mph, imagine if you drive 60 mph on freeway what this will do to you. Overall, the mechanic who worked on my car did a very bad job before turn it over to the customers. I trusted the Mercedes-Benz that’s why I brought my car in for service and willing to pay $225 per hour then other German car specialists at $125 per hour. I need the best service, not what I just described today. More
