I had a great experience in dealing with my salesman, Jay and Jim in finance. Jay was able to order the car we were looking for with all our features. I serviced my new 450 GLS on November 11, 2024 for a hard down shift between gears 5 and 4. After leaving the car for the day, I was told the transmission was out of calibration and the tech did a software down shift between gears 5 and 4. After leaving the car for the day, I was told the transmission was out of calibration and the tech did a software update. When I picked up the car my service advisor told me to drive the car a couple of days and let him know how the transmission is working. Three days later I called him and told him the hard downshift was still there. He told me Mercedes was developing new software to fix the issue. When I asked him when the software would be available, he had no idea. I contacted Mercedes Corporate costumer service to ask about the new software and after being put in touch with one of the managers, they had no information regarding new software. There best advise was to go to a different dealer. Fast forward three months to today and I took my Mercedes 450 GLS to Jacksonville for what they call the B service and I asked them to check out the issue with the transmission. After only about 4 hours my car was ready and I asked about the transmission fix and was told that was complete also. I was skeptical until I started driving home and the car drove like the new Mercedes I bought 18 months ago. Mercedes customer service was right, just go to another dealership. My advise to anyone who reads this review is whether you are buying or servicing a Mercedes don’t go to Mercedes of Daytona beach. I tried buying my new Mercedes there and walked away and best I can tell they had my car all day to fix the transmission and did nothing and then lied about new software. More
