Extended warrenty Bought 2008 lexus from Mercedes Benz of Des moines and also purchased extended warranty from them. Big mistake. It has to be done by a Lexus dealer which happens to be across the street. I call Mercedes and they say take to Lexus dealer. I make appointment for next day. They read my ex warranty and call warranty company that tells them if it's within 40 miles Mercedes has to take to Lexus dealer. I take it to Mercedes and they say that's not so. They offer to make another appointment for the next day but after wasting a half day already I say no. Everybody at both dealerships were polite but the bottom line is my car still needs serviced. I'm glad I can still drive it. NEVER buy extended warranty. It's kinda like - I've got your money and you're on the back burner. Come back when you're looking to buy. More
