Earlier this month, my wife Cheryl and I visited Mercedes of Naples to purchase a 2014 Mercedes E 350 Cabriolet .At the time we were willing to order the vehicle of our choice as there was no immediate need of Naples to purchase a 2014 Mercedes E 350 Cabriolet .At the time we were willing to order the vehicle of our choice as there was no immediate need for another vehicle. After Dennis showing us several vehicles that you had on he lot, my wife and I decided that there was not the right combination for us and wanted order a vehicle of our choice. Having several cars in my collection and purchasing my other Mercedes from tow other dealers up north I also contacted them also. When we came inside to go into his office, Dennis knowing that I had been looking at other Mercedes dealers , before we were even able to sit down and he was standing behind his desk stated that you would only discount $1000.00 of an ordered car's sticker. Already gotten a price from my dealer in N.H. which was a $6175.00 discount, I told Dennis of their offer and his statement was, "We would NEVER discount a car that much money." Therefore, we didn't need to sit down as there was no way in the world I would purchase a new Mercedes (NO TRADE) for $1000.00 of M.S.R.P. A few days later I called Dennis back as my wife really liked one of the cars you had in stock an asked Dennis how much of a discount if I were to purchase an in stock vehicle. He stated that it is usually $1000.00 but it being close to the end of the month there was some "wiggle" room. When I spoke to my N.H. dealer he told me he had just gotten one in with the right color and almost all the options I was looking for. He then told me that there was a $3500.00 additional incentive fro Mercedes if I purchased the car before the end of November . In total it would be a $9675.00 discount. I felt Dennis DECEIVED us never mentioning the incentive and really wanted $2500 over sticker. He is not trustworthy and I wouldn't talk to him again. I visited Luis yesterday and told him the whole story and he was apologetic and hoped that we left with a better taste in our mouths. We did. Inclosing, our take from Dennis was that he made us feel if we didn't purchase the vehicle at his price, the next person would. I am most upset that Dennis Never mentioned the $3500 incentive which made him untrustworthy in our eyes. I know that he may be used to dealing with people who don't care to negotiate. Unfortunately for him, I'm not one of those people. In all my life I have never had such a negative experience with a new car salesman and never wrote a negative review on anyone. Unfortunately I can't say that anymore now that I had the displeasure of meeting DENNIS. Kathryn and Luis were wonderful and if I had spoken to them, perhaps I would have purchased my new Mercedes for you. Sorry that I had to write this lengthy and negative review but I felt it was necessary. Hopefully Dennis will treat his future clients better because of this review. Thank you for your time. During last week we had R320CDI in for its B service. As always, the service was outstanding. From the time you pull up until the time you pick up everything about this dealership and its service departmen always, the service was outstanding. From the time you pull up until the time you pick up everything about this dealership and its service department could not be more efficient, friendly, and certainly more than satisfactorily completed. Later that week we were considering leasing a vehicle and ended up purchasing another (this time) used vehicle instead. We bought a GLK350. Again, this time Debbie and Joe were able to answer all of our questions and certainly helped us feel great about or decision to purchase a Certified used vehicle from Mercedes. What we have learned over the last 5 years is that Mercedes Benz of Naples is the ONLY place to go for service and sales. After less than stellar service on both the 2008 Mercedes and our Volvo XC70 in Champaign IL, we have never gone back to that dealership because of our lack of confidence and lack of honesty about repairs on both vehicles. That's why we so appreciate our Naples Dealer. No one does it better--Sales, Service, and a very professional and friendly staff! More
