I have been buying cars for over 40 years and have NEVER had a bad experience or felt I was dealing with dishonest people until my experience with bait and switch tactics on price with Mercedes Naples. I wrote to the used and dealership manager and was told I could have walked out and not bought the car when the price changed from what the salesman Patrick Westin agreed to (and I have the paperwork to show where we added up the total) The point is yes, I could have walked out or they could have honored the price I was told and I would have certainly encouraged others to buy there but they didn't. I have been in sales all my life and I always taught my sales staff "Always tell the Truth and what you want are repeat customers who will refer you to others NOT a one time sale. This dealership believes in doing whatever they can to get you into the sale and apparently does not care about being perceived as honest, a dealership with integrity or trying to do the right thing.
