It appears your mechanic is a liar I was told the engine and the whole fuel system would need to be replaced. And there were metal shavings throughout the fuel system and engine. None of that was true. Co and the whole fuel system would need to be replaced. And there were metal shavings throughout the fuel system and engine. None of that was true. Cost to fix? $53,134.35. That sounds really bad doesn’t it. Good thing there are other options. One shop I’ve used in the past with very good luck I had my car towed to and inspected and repaired for $1000. Instead of $53,134. Just cleaned the fuel system and emptied and cleaned the fuel tank. So, no, I will not recommend your shop ever again. More
