Yesterday I called into the dealership from Florida to get help disabling a sensor from a minor mishap over the weekend. Connor Heyland picked up the call as service was busy, Connor could not have been any more helpful! Truth be told, I didn't introduce myself...I think I was frantic and just needed help to shut it off and Connor did just that with his patience and kindness! Thank you Connor and Mercedes Benz of Portsmouth for living up to your reputation of going above and beyond for your customers! More
Great Dealer. I purchased my first GLC when it was Holloway Mercedes. After I ordered my new vehicle my sales person couldn't have cared less. I had to call him fo I purchased my first GLC when it was Holloway Mercedes. After I ordered my new vehicle my sales person couldn't have cared less. I had to call him for an update on the status. I tried to call him twice for the VIN # and the third and final time I called the receptionist and had her take a hand written note. I sen him a text and it took him 3 days to get back to me. One one particular occasion I told him I was coming to leave some paperwork and when I got there a half hour later he was out on a road test. Another salesperson by the name of Connor was kind enough to help me. I could not get an answer as to how much they would give me for my trade until I called the General Sales Manager for help. He was very apologetic to my experience and was able to give me an offer for my trade so I could make a decision to sell it or trade it. More
Tried and True! There is nothing like a Family-Owned Business. I was 1st introduced to the Kaplan Auto Group about 15+ years ago when I bought a Jaguar. I loved this car, the service they provided and went onto buying another. This car and the Jake Kaplan dealerships were great! I was introduced to Mercedes of Portsmouth through an email and recommended to my son was looking for a SUV and had a very poor experience at another local dealership (Lynnfield). When I learned of this, I immediately contacted the Portsmouth Mercedes Dealership and Eddy Allen returned my call. Within a few hours, we were at this dealership, professionally treated by Eddy and Les Barker and felt valued as a customer...plus my son left there leasing his new SUV! Such a different experience and when his lease expired, he purchased his SUV from this dealership and again, very pleased with the respect and outcome. While I was there with my son, the 450 Cabriolet caught my attention, I went back to test drive and brought it home to share with my husband. We drove a quarter of a mile and my husband was hooked too! We are on our 2nd lease, love this car and most importantly Eddy and the entire Portsmouth Team - they are the BEST! Things happen and I have encountered a few things along the way and every single time, Eddy and his Team have resolved thing promptly and fairly. I can't imagine if I was working with that other dealership...as I am writing this, my blood pressure is still rising when I think of them! Dealerships can sell you a car and it's the positive service experience you receive during and after that matters most. I have always felt valued and respected as a customer. I also love how the Kaplan Auto Group has embodied their values along the way, through generations and growth as a Family Dealership and Brand. I have and remain a fan and want to thank you for all you do! More
I was recently in the market for purchasing a quality used car and was pleasantly surprised by the great experience I had at Mercedes-Benz of Portsmouth. I worked with Nick and he was superb from start t used car and was pleasantly surprised by the great experience I had at Mercedes-Benz of Portsmouth. I worked with Nick and he was superb from start to finish in assisting me with the purchase. When I arrived, he had the car I was considering ready and waiting for a test drive, provided me with a complete history of the car, offered a respectable trade-in offer for my car and set up financing for me on the spot. I was literally able to drive off with a great car within two hours! Service after the sale was also included as he was very accessible to any questions I had. Great dealership and wonderful experience working with Nick! I cannot say enough good things about my purchase and highly recommend Mercedes-Benz of Portsmouth. More

The service department is completely incompetent. They didn’t even try to figure out the problem in our 4 year old car and insisted we needed a new engine. No diagnostic work at all was done. We had it towed to our dealership in MA and they diagnosed the problem and fixed it for a lot less than the $30,000 the Portsmouth dealership suggested! I’d never go there again even if I was passing by and needed roadside assistance. More
