I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 29, 2025. The vehicle was represented and sold as meeting Mercedes-Benz USA’s Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) standards, whi Shreveport, Louisiana on March 29, 2025. The vehicle was represented and sold as meeting Mercedes-Benz USA’s Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) standards, which require a thorough inspection and no undisclosed accident history. However, after purchase I discovered the following serious issues: 1. Undisclosed Accident History • Vehicle history reports (Carfax/AutoCheck) revealed that the car had previously been involved in an accident in 2022. This was not disclosed at the time of sale, despite the vehicle being marketed and sold as a “certified” vehicle. 2. Software Defect • Within a short period after purchase, the vehicle experienced software malfunctions that affected its normal operation, and almost caused a serious accident as the vehicle lost power while on the expressway. Certified vehicles are supposed to be fully inspected, including electronics and software systems, yet this defect was present. 3. Premature Brake Replacement • I was forced to replace the rear brakes much earlier than expected. This suggests either lack of proper inspection prior to certification or that the brakes were near failure at the time of sale, which should have been addressed. More
