I have had the worst experience in at Mercedes Benz Sugar Land Dealership. I bought a 2021 GLA 250 August 6th and on August 15th I called to schedule a service appointment due to noises I was hearing. Servic Land Dealership. I bought a 2021 GLA 250 August 6th and on August 15th I called to schedule a service appointment due to noises I was hearing. Service department didn’t have a appointment for me until Monday August 29th, took car in and was told car was ready Thursday September 1st. When I picked up my car I was told everything seemed to be fine everything is under warranty and you have extended warranty don’t worry enjoy your car Ms. Jackson. The every next day Friday September 2nd started my car the check engine light was on, the car was shaking and smoking smelled from under the hood of the car. When picking up the loaner car, the service agent asked what was the problem this time, No empathy or apologies, just a blank stare like in making this up but ok we will check it out. My car went back to the service department for 15 days. I was called on September 15th by the service department that my car was ready for pickup, they changed spark plugs and ignition coil. After getting my car back I noticed that the car was still not driving as smooth as it should being a fairly new car, still shaking, lagging at the red light once green trying to speed up, and even cutting completely off when stopped. I did some research and contact my credit union and was suggested to speak with the dealership about a possible collateral swap due to the car giving me problems and not even having the car 60 days and barley 30 days in my possession. I went in the the dealership September 24th to speak with the Sales manager AJ C. to explain the situation, what my credit union had advised (same car year make model and price) and see what could be done about this situation. AJ took a look into what was going on with the vehicle pre the service department notes assured me and my mom that a swap could be done, and he was sorry this was happening, went over what cars where available. Once I picked a car that would fit the trade, he told us he would give me a call once they serviced the new vehicle and everything was ready for the trade. Tuesday September 27th I received a call from AJ stating that the car was ready for the collateral swap and that he needed to know how would I be paying for the new vehicle cuz would now need to apply for a new load either through my credit union or through Mercedes Benz. This is not what we agreed on just days prior, never did AJ mention a new loan process and now insulting my intelligence by saying he did not agree to a collateral swap and a new loan has to be processed. The every next day Wednesday October 28th I started my car and the check engine light was on, the car was shaking and burning smelled from under the hood. The service agent wanted to know “why am I back again ? They check my car it is fine. There is no problem with it, but he will check it again. No empathy or apologies, just blank stares and pointing the finger at me as if I am making this all up. Three days later service department calls me to tell me my car is ready for pick up and they have replaced the cylinder head on the engine. Never have I heard of a major repair like this getting fixed in less than 3 days, this kind of problem takes at least a weeks time. This is the 3rd time I have taking my car to service in less than 60 days, and for a major engine issue. No one has show any empathy about the situation and how devastating this experience has been for me. Mercedes Benz Sugar Land has sold me a Lemon and it’s no big deal to one anyone there because the car is under warranty. Do not waste your time or money here at MB Sugar Land. Once they have your money they can care less about anything that comes after. The whole operation is a BIG thumbs down. No one has any compassion the sales the management and the service department. I want to thank AJ (Manger) for making the whole process of purchasing our Mercedes Benz GLB 250 one of the easiest and smoothest transactions we have ever experience. He was very helpful, extremely knowl of purchasing our Mercedes Benz GLB 250 one of the easiest and smoothest transactions we have ever experience. He was very helpful, extremely knowledgeable and took his time to explain and answer any questions we had. He made us feel welcomed and at ease , which is very important when making a major purchase. If you are looking for someone who is honest, listens & understands what you are looking for and knowledgeable, AJ is the person to speak with. I, also, want to thank Jeffery (Finance) for all his assistance as well. He was so thorough in his explanations and when we had a question, he took his time to answer and would not moved forward until he was satisfied we understood everything. Jeffery never pushed for "extra" additional purchases and never rushed the process. I would strongly recommend having him with the finance portion of your purchase. Lastly, there was Steve (Delivery). He was extremely helpful going through the entire process of explaining in detail everything that had to do with our SUV. He helped set up apps on our phones and went from front to end, from the 1st button of driver side door thru to the passenger back seats. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. We are so glad we got the professionalism of an outstanding manager, AJ, to help lead his team in making our purchase an awesome experience. We have purchased several vehicles throughout the years, getting finance at our bank, credit union or dealerships. I want to let you know that purchasing our SUV thru Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land, was 1 of the best experience we have had. I will be recommending family, friends and anyone who is reading these reviews who is looking for a vehicle, to go here. More
The sales tactics used are suspect. The people are nice but be wary of their sales tactics as they aren’t transparent as you would think for a Mercedes dealer. They told me they would work with me when it came to the price because I mentioned how their sale price was higher than msrp on a brand new version and they were selling a used car. When it came down to pri price because I mentioned how their sale price was higher than msrp on a brand new version and they were selling a used car. When it came down to pricing they barely budged and they definitely were not working on it as they said they would. I accepted the original offer (that was overpriced) but they then told me they sold the car. Not a great experience. Glad I did this over the phone and didn’t waste my time going there (I don’t live in their state and was going to be paying extra for shipping). More
I am writing this review on April 11, 2022. Steer clear of the scam artists at MB Sugarland! I wish I had read the reviews on this place before my purchase. This is obviously their MO. The “VIP Steer clear of the scam artists at MB Sugarland! I wish I had read the reviews on this place before my purchase. This is obviously their MO. The “VIP first class scam”. The customer service is lacking! MB Sugarland no moral compass, nor do they value customer service. All they care about is money! Once they have your money, they couldn't care less about your satisfaction. Save your time and money! These people have no heart, or conscience. There's a special place in xxxx for them. I purchased a CPO 2021 AMG GT 53 on April 11, 2022 for the listed price of $128,989 minus the trade in of my 2016 CLS 400. I found out they charged me about $14K more than the car is worth. The same price as a brand new 2022. Somehow, two days later the trade in of the AMG GT is significantly reduced by $14K (Magic! It's actually what the car is worth), because the return of the vehicle would cause the next owner to be “the third owner”. Surely, the registration paperwork hasn’t even been competed yet because I left the dealership after 8 pm on Saturday night and they are closed on Sundays. The entire MB Sugarland dealership is a scam. Every day they wake up to go to work and scam all day. I’ve received better car service at Mi Tierra car lots, and better customer service at Mc Donald’s. I'm not sure who's worse politicians or this MB dealership. Let's start from arrival at the dealership. On Saturday April 9, I told Moussa Younes (the salesman) that I was traveling from Conroe to Sugarland to see the CPO AMG GT53. I had finally found exactly what I was looking for without building. When I arrived, we went out to see the vehicle. When I asked to drive the vehicle, I was told that they don't test drive AMG vehicles. (If that was the case, he should have mentioned that before I drove over an hour to see the car). I asked if this is a policy at this MB dealership only. Moussa stated that he's worked at other MB dealerships, and it was the same. That is a lie because I test drove the AMG GT 53 because I've driven one before while getting my CLS serviced at a different location. My cousin told me to leave(she recently purchased a G-wagon from a different location, but regrettably, I didn't. Moussa told me that he has clients who come from all over and buy vehicles directly off the showroom. This is MY $130K that I'm about to spend on this car, I don't give a xxxx about what other people do when they purchase their cars! We went in to talk about the trade in of my CLS 400. I was offered $27k at Park Place Dallas, and the salesman there said I should just come in to build new since I wanted specific specs. I should have listened to him. MB Sugarland originally offered $22k, I asked for $29k, they offered $23.5k. I was tired, hungry, and had a headache. NEVER go to a car dealership hungry or tired, you’ll regret it. I already had a pre-approval through my credit union for the loan. Moussa said that if we agreed on the numbers he would speak to his manager regarding a test drive (also a lie). After we agreed on the trade numbers and the price of the car, I asked about the test drive. He proceeded to request a credit application to see if MB could “beat my 3.5% interest rate from CUTX” (also a lie, they just want to finance you to make the sale, plus banks are closed that late in the evening. It’s was after 6 pm on a Saturday). It wasn’t until the credit application was submitted that I was allowed to test drive. I didn’t care about the credit application being run, because I already had my credit run with CUTX for the preapproval, otherwise I would have refused. The interest rate was not lower (5.99%), but Jeffrey Walters educated me that I could refinance at any time and I was on limited time (Leaving town the following day). The combination of being tired, hungry, having a headache, cutx being closed at 2pm on saturday, dealership being closed on Sunday, and me flying out to work in California the next day led me to the irrational decision to purchase the car despite my intuition telling me to leave on more than one occasion. After the paperwork was signed, they brought the car from "detail" and it was still dirty. I mentioned it to Moussa after reviewing the features with the product specialist (he was great) and he stated that the car would have to be detailed again when came back for the appearance package that I was supposed to return for. Unacceptable answer. So I should leave with a DIRTY $129K CAR?? He said the guy who washes the cars had just left. Yes, obviously before he finished his cars for the night. If there wasn’t sufficient time to properly detail the car, that should’ve been mentioned. I was still excited until I got home, and was going through the manual binder and found the paper listing the specs from new amounting to $125,195. They sold me the vehicle for $128,989 minus the trade in. I can get a new 2022 vehicle with zero miles and the exact specs for the same price-I priced it. Hence the $14K “depreciation” of the vehicle in two days. That’s the price it’s actually worth obviously. My vehicle is equipped with cabin air fragrancing and ionization. They sold me the vehicle with an empty fragrance canister. I emailed Moussa about it and received no response. So today, I called regarding my dissatisfaction and spoke with James Goodman, “sales manager”, this puppet is a real piece of work. I don’t know how he sleeps at night. Con artists probably have no conscience. All he offered was a speech about supply and demand. He preached about how I was happy on Saturday. YES, until I received new information. Clearly, I called to talk about how I’m feeling today, not Saturday. How all the vehicles are expensive. Lies again. They intentionally priced the vehicle more than it’s worth (and James intentionally gave me less than my trade in was worth) and preyed on me because I didn’t know any better until I did the research after finding the paper with the vehicle specs. Disgusting. He especially should be ashamed of himself for the con artistry he partakes in at MB Sugarland. He offered zero resolution or attempts to rectify the situation. I mentioned the empty fragrance canister to him and he ignored it. James refused to give me the legal team’s contact information as I would like to go to arbitration. Initially, he also refused to give me his manager or the owner’s contact information. Even Mc Donald’s would’ve made some attempt. This is my second Mercedes purchase and the level of service is missing. My mother just switched from MB to Porsche and I witness her buying experience. Luxury car sales at it’s finest for sure. My very first car was a Dodge Avenger that just didn’t work out within the first couple days. The dodge dealership had excellent customer service and allowed me to return the vehicle free and clear. Customer service is always best when the person actually cares about people and not just money. Do YOUR OWN RESEARCH BEFORE APPROACHING THIS DEALERSHIP. KNOW THE NUMBERS, OR THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE A WOMAN. Dealership full of men, I hope they don’t have daughters with all the bad karma they're dishing out. What goes around comes around, and I hope each of them get exactly what they deserve. More
