I saw an online ad for an Impala with a good price and stopped in to check it out. I worked with Mike Salmon and he was great. He was very knowledgeable about the car, knew exactly what he was talking abo stopped in to check it out. I worked with Mike Salmon and he was great. He was very knowledgeable about the car, knew exactly what he was talking about.......I know this since I spend weeks doing my research. Mike was low pressure, letting me decide which car to choose (they had multiple choices), not just what would get him the best commission. He was able to get me a great deal on the car and my trade in, without the pressure and sales tactics of other dealerships. After this experience, I will be back at Merit Chev (and find Mike) when it's time for my next vehicle purchase. Thanks for the great experience; it's good to know there are still honest car dealers out there! More
Ok, I have bought several vehicles from different dealers and will stick with Merit from now on. Adam Dittmer was easy to deal with. My Daughter Kali recently purchased a used Jeep Commander from Merit Chevrolet. She was home visiting from Fargo ND and decided to look for a new car as her car was in need of replacement. She was very excited about it and felt she got a great deal on her 2007 Jeep Commander from Merit Chevrolet. The next day she went to start it and it would not start. She called her salesman and he arranged to have the Jeep towed directly to a Jeep dealer as they would have any necessary tools to diagnose the issue. In addition, he gave her a 2011 Impala to drive. Later that day it was found that the computer was bad and it was replaced late in the day. Her salesman kept her informed the whole time and assured that she would have her Jeep back the next morning. The next day Kali was to leave to return to Fargo. She got a call from the salesperson at Merit and was told that the Jeep again did the exact same thing when Merit went to pick it up from the Jeep dealer. They told her that it would take a few more days to fix the Jeep, Her salesperson also told her to go ahead and drive the loaner car from Merit Chevrolet to Fargo and that Merit would figure out the rest once her Jeep was fixed and resolved. As it turns out, there was a problem with the aftermarket remote start on the Jeep, and a new factory remote start was installed. In all $2200.00 worth of work was done to the Jeep at NO cost to my daughter. In addition, the next day, Merit drove the Jeep to Fargo, 250 miles away, to return the Jeep to my daughter. Additionally, Merit has made two follow-up calls since then to make sure everything is working fine with the Jeep. This was a bad experience that was made good with exceptional stellar service and Merit Chevrolet should be commended for going well over and above what anyone would expect. I have purchased 2 new cars from Merit in the last 10 years I will back when I need another one. Thank You! Kent A. St. Paul MN. More
