Customer Service I was shocked by how professional John (the salesman) was with everything. I tip my hat to that! However, what I didn't like was how when I was told m I was shocked by how professional John (the salesman) was with everything. I tip my hat to that! However, what I didn't like was how when I was told my car was ready to be picked up and they never completed an oil change. The car displayed a 30% percent oil life and also there was an oil change sticker on the windshield. Also 1 day after driving off the lot the "i" light common. I decided that I was going to have the car checked out at Prime Acura where I had performed a full tuneup. It was there where they told me this should have never been sold in this condition, mind you this was PrimeAcura and I purchased the car from ConnollyAcura (2 Acura dealer). Upon performing the tuneup they brought to my attention that the car needed 2 sensors and they told me the clutch was shot (like completely gone.) The said it was $300+ for the sensors and about $2500 for a new clutch. I bought the car back to Connolly because I wasn't going to pay for that. The service rep. argues with me on why I would bring the car to another dealership if I had just bought the car from them, (before I lost my cool) I explained to him what my experience was like with them and he proceed to raise he voice at me at until I showed him the list of all the work Prime had done and pointed out what they (Connolly) should have done. He bite his lip and told me calmly "okay, I'll set you up in a loaner and we'll take a look and take care of the problem. About a week later I picked up the car and it ridding better than the day I test drove it. There's not a chance I'd return to this dealer. I'm convinced cars are sold as is at any dealership, as long as there aren't any lights on the dash they'll sell you the car as is. If only I can show you (the reader) this list of the things discovered during the tune up that should have been taken care of before the sale. Good luck on your next purchase!! More
Dealer failed to pay for loaner call during recall We bought the new TL here. Everything was good until the airbag recall happened this March. The dealer has promised to pay for the loaner car at $45/d We bought the new TL here. Everything was good until the airbag recall happened this March. The dealer has promised to pay for the loaner car at $45/day until the car gets fixed. However, at the most recent (and final) bill, the dealer is unwilling to pay for rental car. As a result, the rental car company has charged the customer the full amount of 1,273.37! It is completely unacceptable! I have tried to contact the service manager, James Brown at least 5 times via email, phone call, but failed to connect with him. He did not respond to any of my request to get this bill paid. Out of the 1,273.37 unpaid balance, I am responsible for paying around $170 plus tax as a co-pay. The rest should be contributed from the dealer at $45/day basis between June 4th and June 20th. My TL's airbag was not fixed until June 18th. Even more frustrating, the dealer promised it was okay for me to return the rental car until June 20th, but in fact they were not even wiling to pay for the period at all! Acura has deeply disappointed me through the dealership, in both ways of not-honoring recall loaner can and irresponsible for customer's contact. I would recommend anyone I know to not buy Acura anymore, not only because the airbag issue will stop you to drive the car for three month, but also the dealer at this location is not going to be responsible at all. I hope this review will help the dealer to get this issue resolved as soon as possible. More
