We have 3 young boys and finding time to get the car in for service can be a challenge. Not only did the service department take care of us, they went out of their way to take us last minute on several occasions, found issues they could address proactively, and were both professional and friendly. It's refreshing - the service department is more like a good neighbor than a car dealership. I highly recommend them and will be back for our next purchase. More
I got the VIP treatment today at the Service Dept of Herb Connolly Acura in Framingham. A little while ago we bought a looks-like-new-but-used Acura MDX with about 23,000 miles on it. A week later I notice Connolly Acura in Framingham. A little while ago we bought a looks-like-new-but-used Acura MDX with about 23,000 miles on it. A week later I noticed that the CD player was not working; it seemed like two discs were stuck inside. This morning I took the car down to the Herb Connolly Service Dept where Tim looked at my car registration, said it was still under warranty and that they would order a replacement unit. He said they would like to give me a loaner car until tomorrow but because I had my two dogs with me, instead they washed the outside of my car AND vacuumed the inside and asked me to return tomorrow at 11am when they would quickly replace the unit. WOW -- with such great service, you can be sure that next time i will try very hard to buy a new Acura from Herb Connolly. (We did try to buy the used Acura here but there was a very limited selection for the MDX everywhere.) More
I hate shopping for cars...or at least I did until now. In the past, my dealings with Car Salesmen, and Dealerships have left a bad taste in my mouth. I always left with a new car...but also with the feeling that I had been taken advantage of in one way or another. Well, that has all changed after dealing with Jonathan Filleul & Bill Tulloch at Herb Connolly Acura. I had been in touch with the sales manager, Bill Tulloch via the internet stating that I was interested in coming in to look at pre-owned TLs. He set up an appointment for me to see the salesman Jonathan Filleul on Monday night. I went in on Monday night, after a hectic day at work, with my two kids in tow (although everyday is hectic for this single mom). Jonathan met me and the kids, all prepared to show me some cars he thought I would be interested in driving. Then over the next 2 hours, patiently and courteously took my kids and I out in 3 different cars. He answered all my questions, and explained every detail of each car we were driving. I decided I liked a 2004 Black TL with low mileage. Then came the deal (the part I dreaded the most!!) I had been getting advice from my brother-in-law on how to "negotiate" the price I wanted to pay. But after Jonathan's first visit to see Bill, he came back with a number that I was completely unprepared for...it was BETTER than I was hoping to get. There was NO back & forth crap...just a really solid deal, and a price I could afford! We signed the deal that night, and I came back on Tuesday and picked up the car!! And I have been having fun driving it and showing it off ever since!! So if you dread shopping for cars and dealing with car salesmen...as I used to, I suggest you visit Herb Connolly Acura, and talk to Jonathan and Bill. The experience will change your attitude about car shopping too! More
I bought my 2004 MDX new from Herb Connolly. My salesperson, Gil, was more knowledgeable than any of the other car salespeople that I talked to while I was trying to choose a new car. When delivere salesperson, Gil, was more knowledgeable than any of the other car salespeople that I talked to while I was trying to choose a new car. When delivered, he took the time to ensure everything was clear and that I understood the nav system etc. I have serviced the truck at Herb Connolly and have had very good support from all of the service counsellors, particularly Tim K. The truck has 95K on it today, and I have had the occasional challenge, but HC takes good care of me. The have wireless internet in the waiting room, which makes it easy to work while getting small things done, and they schedule very nice clean Acura's for loaners during big services. When things get difficult, in my experience this service department goes the extra mile to ensure I am happy and that I am treated fairly. I would buy another truck from these guys because they treat me like a long term customer. More
I bought my TSX in December 2003. At my initial service appointment, I spent some time reading a number of posted letters which were highly complimentary of the service received. Frankly, I was skeptica appointment, I spent some time reading a number of posted letters which were highly complimentary of the service received. Frankly, I was skeptical. I can say that after taking my car to Herb Connelly for service, I could write my own letter. I have had the occasion to bring my car to a local Acura dealer for service and was sorely disappointed. From the customer courtesy and respect, friendly staff, the waiting rooms with either TV or internet access, the loaner cars or shuttle transportation, ease of setting up appointments, and the car wash with service, I have been spoiled. I did not buy from them as Clair blew all ot service and I have never had an issue. Friendly people, loaners when needed, quality work. No issues. My husband and I went to this dealership to look at an Acura TSX. We loved the car but our experiance here was horrible. We felt taken advantage of and very pressured. We had two trades and they weren Acura TSX. We loved the car but our experiance here was horrible. We felt taken advantage of and very pressured. We had two trades and they weren't even going to give us blue book on them, even though one of our trades was in excellent condition with a ton of extra work put into it. Anyway, we went to another dealership that was more than happy to help us and gave us a WAY better deal. I wouldn't recommend them. More
In 2000 I had just moved to Massachusetts and needed a "preventive" 80,000 mile service on my '90 Integra (i.e. timing belt, water pump etc.). They itemized all the work needed or recommended (one transa "preventive" 80,000 mile service on my '90 Integra (i.e. timing belt, water pump etc.). They itemized all the work needed or recommended (one transaxle also needed replacing) and provided a loaner Integra as I was over 15 miles away. Everything was done correctly, to the letter and on time. Three years later, just before auto inspection (isn't it always?), my driver's seatbelt developed the famous plastic "break" that Acura replaces under warranty. Would they do so now? I called, arranged for the fix . .. and they took the car for repair while I waited. Problem: the car needed an auxiliary part to make the belt "work" correctly, one they didn't have in stock. They immediately found a loaner SUV for me until the parts were obtained and the car repaired. This was on a Friday .. . and the car was ready next Monday. EXCELLENT service. A real "thank you" to Herb Connoly Acura and all their staff. An aside. My father bought his 1961 Buick Le Sabre from the grandfather of the current (I believe) dealer owner, when that dealership was located on Comm. Ave. at B.U. field. A fine dealer then (according to my late father) and now! Kudos! More
I brought my car in because I had a mis-fire problem after I got it back from theft. First of all, they would not deal with my insurance. They basically said I had to be the middle person. I was not ver after I got it back from theft. First of all, they would not deal with my insurance. They basically said I had to be the middle person. I was not very pleased with this. I left my car there for them to diagnos, the wouldn't give me a loaner, which I was very dissatisfied. They said they would call me back when they're done with it that day. They did not call me. I called them before they closed, and had them tell me my car is ready for pickup.
They told me that my check engine light had just needed to be reset and everything was fine. They also test drove it and there didn't seem to detect the problem again. I got into the car, and noticed there were 20 or so extra miles on the car. I thought to myself, "as long as they fixxed it". After driving it 2 miles down the road, the check engine light came back on. I brought it back right then, and had to reschedule at no extra cost. They basically joy rode my car, and probably beat the crap out of it.
I brought it back the next day, again they would not give me a loaner. I had to sit in the waiting room for a long time. I finally went to the counter and ask about my car, and the guy told me "O, it was ready a while ago". They diagnosed it again, and told me it was the injectors. I didn't get that done there. I drive away, and immediately as I sped up, I noticed something was on my tires. I got out and looked at it. They put a bolt into my left front tire. I went back immediately again. And they would not pay to get my tires fixxed. I had to pay out of my pocket. What a bunch of morons. Worst service ever.
I did not think it was my injectors that was causing my problem. So I switched all my injectors around, and it was still mis-firing in the exact same cylinder. They had mis-diagnosed my problem. I told them about it, and they would not admit their wrong doing, and would not do any other work to fix my engine unless I get that done first.
The lady I was talking to told me that my valves were out of adjustment and they readjusted it. Then a month later I notice my valve were very noisey, and went back and told them that they must have not tightened my adjuster screw tight enough so it got loose. The same lady looked up the records and said that they never adjusted my valves. So basically she was lying to me, and told me what I wanted to hear about them adjusting my valves. Bunch of liars.
Save yourself some trouble and don't go to the service department here. They think they can get their lies past me, but what they don't know is that I am in the car business also, and that I was partially testing them. They failed.
I do recommand their parts department though. They have been very helpful. More
