I knew all the info about the car I wanted before walking in. I dealt with Justin from the beginning and he was very helpful and was working with me on the deal. I was very upfront with the dealership as far as my credit/self employment status and to the fact that I would be having a co-signer. It seemed to go smoothly for the first couple of days, until we had to go in and give my co-signer's credit info. From that point on I was dealing with Doug and was given many different bits of info on what was happening etc and it was just becoming a not so great process. I was called a week later to say the deal couldn't go thru, I asked for my deposit back and then was told they had put one more call into another bank and to just wait and hopefully this one would go thru, but it might be at a higher payment. Well lo and behold, it went thru at the higher payment, buy w/o the extra perk Justin had threw in for me. I did end up taking the deal since this was the car I really wanted and just was burnt out from looking. I just felt like Justin got in trouble for adding the extras and they were dragging it out to change the whole thing in the end and take that off. I'm not saying I would not buy a car from them but in the beginning I felt like at ease and not like I was car shopping but then it became the dreaded hassle of wheeling and dealing. I get the fact that my loan was hard to deal with but I just would like honesty and not one day telling me one thing the next day telling me the complete opposite. I wouldn't say a bad thing about either of the guys, just felt more comfortable dealing with Justin, I understand he's not on the finance side but he was very apologetic and grateful when we finally came back in to pick up the car. Alex was very knowledgeable about the car. I test drove it and he answered nearly all of my questions and the couple of things he wasn't positive about - he got them answered when we returned from the test drive. I really appreciated that he kept making sure that he was giving me the complete and accurate information I needed. His approach was very accomodating. He has a good sense of humor and uses it in a way that makes the process more comfortable. I had never met Alex before, but I would be happy to talk to anyone who is considering a Hyundai purchase. And he kept asking what else he could do to close the deal, but he did this in a very reasonable way. More

I bought a car that would not have passed inspection in any other licensed registration facility. i commented on the poor tire condition and I was told I needed new tires. Two days after I picked up the car I had a tire problem. Three days after that I had two tire problems and within a month I was not close to Framingham and I had a tire problem and was told that it could not be fixed. I bought four new tires as the four I had on were completely irreparable and defective and the car was totally out of alignment I called the dealership and of course it was my fault for not bringing it back. They would"work with me". They would not reimburse me for the defective tires and I told them that Ihad complained about them while viewing the car . My salesman advised me after the first time I had to repair the tires that I needed to buy new ones. The dealership claims the car passed inspection and admits they never aligned the car . I will have a third independent registration facility look at the tires as the first two said they were garbage. Herb Connolly sold me a car that was UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED. They have chosen to walk away from any responsibility so I need to pursue this with various state agencies... In the meantime, the good news is that if you have a car that might not pass inspection you will probably be able to find someone at the dealership who can help you out... More
I found that I needed a new car and this was the first dealership I visited. I was very impressed by how easy it was to do business with Roy. He showed me just what I wamted to see and was friendly without pressuring me in any way. On my inquiry he even found me a new 2010 Elantra with 'color', a beautiful Red. He also quoted me a good price which was a major factor in my decision. Because I had not looked at new cars for many years I wanted to look at and evaluate many cars before I made my decision. I visited ten different dealers and looked at many cars of about the same size and even found a couple that I really liked. I returned to Herb Connoly Hyundai to test drive the Elantra which I found to be a great fit for me. I felt that the price was very good and they also offered me a good value for my trade in. I have bought many new cars over the years but this was by far the easiest and nicest experience I have had in buying one. I thought it was just because I had a great salesman, and I'm sure it was, but after reading the reviews on this website I see that the Herb Connolly Dealership has realized what it takes to make buying a new car a good experience for their customers with exceptional, unpressured, helpful sales technique. I'll surely recommend it my friends and neighbors. More

I had a good experience this dealer did not try to sell me any other car other than the one I specifically asked for. He was friendly and did not try as many tactics on me as most other dealers. I would give perfect rating if he had not forgotten to tell me about the $400 fee that needs to be paid upon returning the vehicle at the end of the lease. My wife and I typically dislike shopping for a new car primarily because of the annoying and time-wasting tactics used by the sales staff at many dealerships. To our suprise and delight, Herb Connolly Hyundai is different. There is no pressure to buy, they have an excellent product line (we purchased a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited) and they were very patient and accomodating even though the place was very busy. You never feel rushed or pressured; we drove the car we were interested in several times over a few days with and without the sales person with us. They gave us a good amount for our trade-in and a very good price on the car. When we picked up the car, the process was efficient and thorough. Jimmy went through the features of the car in detail; even setting up our cell phones in the on-board blue tooth system. Thanks to his advice, I set up the home link for our garage in record time. I had a bad experience with another Hyundai Dealership in the area, but I really liked the Genesis Couple, so I decided to try Herb Connolly. I walked in, explained to Sean exactly what I wanted. He went to work with Management and quickly found a car that matched my specifications. When I warned them that the first dealership I talked to might have offered me the same car (it had about 5-6k miles) they reassured me that if that was the case, they would definitely not try to sell it to me. The next day, they confirmed that it was in fact the used "new" car I had found before. After expanding my search parameters, they again found a couple cars that matched my specs, including being Red or Mirabeau Blue, but had the Nav system as well. Knowing that I didn't want the Nav system, they gave me a little bit of a deal and informed me that I qualified for the Recent College Grad Program (better financing rate, slight rebate, this was something the previous dealership, with whom I'd been working for 3+ weeks, never mentioned). They got the car for me on lot 2 days later (the previous dealership tried and failed to get me a car 2 or 3 times), helped me with the financing paperwork and everything. Sean even called me a week later to check up on how I was liking the car and ask if I had any questions. My only complaint is that when negotiating, I was under the impression that my rebate would be applied after we agreed on a price, but when the paperwork came through, they included the rebate on their side. I didn't get a great price after factoring that in, but I'm perfectly satisfied with the car (including the extra Nav System), and the ease of the rest of the process made that a bearable sacrifice (even if it was slightly scummy).
