Mich's Foreign Cars responded

To whomever has the pleasure of reading this, I commend you for doing your due diligence regarding our business.  My expectation is that everyone should research any business they plan on dealing with.  That being said, I challenge anyone that questions us or our business practices to go out and call other local dealerships - go to our competition and ask them about us.  Our business is in a small town so presumably news travels fast.  I assure you that regardless of what people think of me personally - whether it be my magnetic personality, my charm, or strikingly good looks (all joking aside) - as far as my business and business practices are concerned No Other Dealer that knows Me personally and the type of cars I buy can say Anything Bad about the quality of cars I buy or the way I do business.   We have been in business for over 30 years and I understand that its nearly impossible to do business that length of time without having at least a couple complaints.  Any business owner will tell you that there are some people that no matter what you do, you can't make happy.  What differentiates a business from another is not always what they do, but also what they don't do.  You don't stay in business for over 30 years if you have a reputation of taking advantage of your customers and believe me - I'm not going to compromise my reputation for a few hundred dollars(which is what this review is claiming), but I'm also not going to let someone try to extort me with a bad review when I Know I did everything Right.  We always strive to go above and beyond to please our customers and help them in any way that we can, which is what we also tried to do for this person.  She came to us because she could no longer afford to keep her car; we offered to help her sell it even though she wanted the same amount for it as what she paid a year and a half prior.  After about two weeks she came and picked up her car and subsequently cancelled her warranty.  There is a basic protocol when handling a cancellation so its not like its rocket science.  She cancelled the warranty, you wait until they process the paperwork, and then they refund the money to the leinholder.   She had warranty coverage for over a year and she had a signed copy of the warranty contract which states that she gets a prorated amount as a refund.  This is because whether you use the warranty or not, you had coverage during that time.  She initially demanded that we refund her the full amount if the warranty since she did not use it. She put so much pressure on both the dealership and the warranty company because she wanted the money paid to her instantly.  She must have "accidentally" omitted this part in the review because it would have indicated how unrealistic her expectations actually were.  The warranty company sent a check (which we still have a copy of) and after we received it, I personally dropped the check at the leinholder's physical address.  She was tracking the package so she knew we were getting the check before we did.  Our mistake was that we dropped the check before we opened the package from the warranty company - only to find out that the check they sent wasn't even made out to us, so the warranty company cancelled it (also have a record of this). We found out she was calling the warranty company herself - making them think she was an employee of the dealership and causing confusion which caused the check to be sent to the dealership instead of the leinholder. This means that we paid for the refund out of pocket in addition to the warranty company sending the leinholder another check.  We refunded the ENTIRE AMOUNT that the warranty company was Returning to her and I Have a Copy of the Cancelled Check as well as the Check We Wrote to her leinholder to prove that not only did she get the refund Twice, but we also didn't keep a single penny of it.  So the moral is, no good deed goes unpunished.  When you get double the refund, rather than saying thanks and be grateful - find something to complain about. I am always willing to try to help whether you're one of my customers or not because  I don't like seeing people being taken advantage of.  You're not going to get far in life or in business if you can't lend a hand when you have an opportunity to do so, just be open and honest with your actions and intentions.
