When Emily introduced herself I realized in a strange, but good way, that I have never worked with a female car sales associate. Emily was friendly, easy-going and honest. She turned the dreaded car buying experience into a positive one. I like that they work on salary instead of commission based sales; this means honesty and better deals for the buyer. The finance manager, Joey, was easy to work with and he worked with our budget. I will go to this dealership again when I'm in the market for a new or used car! : ) More

When I drove up to Midlands Volkswagen in Columbia, SC, I met with my daughter, her boyfriend, and Emily Gottlieb. She wasn't carrying a baseball bat and at first I thought she must be someone else looking for a car. I quickly learned she was our sales associate. We told her what we were looking for and she went over to the desk to ask her associate about the car. She came back in a moment and informed us that the car we were looking for was right there in the showroom! It looked like a brand new vehicle inside and out! We were offered a test drive and the car was moved outside. When we returned from our drive, Emily asked if we liked the car. I said, "If she doesn't want it, I'll buy it for myself!" Needless to say, my daughter was as impressed with it as I was. We went back inside and discussed the price and our options. I chose not to make the decision that evening, so the manager offered to let us take the car home and come in the next day with our final decision. Emily informed me that she was moving the next day but said she'd come in to work with me regardless. The financing through VW went very smoothly and I was out the next day in a little over an hour. My daughter is very happy with the decision to purchase the car and I don't have the usual buyer's remorse I've always gotten after buying a car. More

I decided on the VW Atlas vs. the others I was considering (Infiniti QX60, Audi 5, Jeep Grand Cherokee) based on very positive reviews by Car & Driver I decided on the VW Atlas vs. the others I was considering (Infiniti QX60, Audi 5, Jeep Grand Cherokee) based on very positive reviews by Car & Driver and others, and a pleasant visit and test drive at Midlands. As others have noted, there was no pressure, genuine interest in finding the car we wanted/needed and a friendly, accommodating group. Everyone we met was professional and willing to help resolve any concerns/issues. Even when the financing process hit a snag (credit report lock that couldn't be unlocked that day, thank you SC government hackers!) they made it work. The car is everything I expected, and more. Enjoying the new ride and the great price on the new ride. Haven't needed service yet, but I fully expect it to be smooth and done well. More
