I went to Mike Maroone Honda Dealership on November 9th to have my second car key programmed. In the past I have always stayed at the Television lobby while I waited. But that day I happened to bring a to have my second car key programmed. In the past I have always stayed at the Television lobby while I waited. But that day I happened to bring a book with me. The sales area has desks with the height perfect for reading standing up. There was a new sales consultant Tyler Hall standing near my desk. We started a conversation. What a refreshing car salesman ! His calm and unassuming, easy manner with a confident calm and rhythmic voice that is neither fast nor slow. Tyler Hall is a natural. He is a people person. He puts customers at ease. He is the type of salesman who has the ability to reduce the buyer's anxiety and help the buyers to purchase a car fitting their lifestyle and needs; and he will make the buying experience a pleasant one for the buyers. That is so important. Tyler Hall has that unique quality: EMPATHY. He wants to help. He represents the most positive image of a new, young generation of car salesmen who depart from the old stereotypical car salesman in the past that we all have negatively known and experienced. I personally had an extremely bad experience back in the mid 1990's with a particular Honda salesman at that same location. Lastly, I am a senior and a minority woman. Yet Tyler Hall treated me with such respect. During our conversation he never talked me down and never was condescending. He is a good listener. That is also important. A good salesman always listens ! I highly recommend Tyler Hall. More
Their sales and service are great. I especially appreciated the fact that their pricing did not include a “market price” add-on in contrast to the other Honda dealers in the region. We initially worked a deal remotely and they were very responsive. We had numerous emails back and forth with Ray Carlson the sales agent. He quickly responded every time and we worked out a fair deal. responsive. We had numerous emails back and forth with Ray Carlson the sales agent. He quickly responded every time and we worked out a fair deal. He answered all my questions. At the point of sale, Ray and all the staff were very friendly and great to work with. We got quotes at several other dealerships and Mike Maroone was the best deal. Based on our great experience, we would highly recommend Mike Maroone Honda. More
I knew exactly what I wanted when I arrived at the dealership. Tony, our salesman, didn't try to "upsell" me; he respected my wishes. We took the car I wanted for a test drive, and I liked it. So, the dealership. Tony, our salesman, didn't try to "upsell" me; he respected my wishes. We took the car I wanted for a test drive, and I liked it. So, then we began the quick and efficient sales process. Every question I had--or even might have had-- was quickly and accurately answered. I especially appreciated that the new car I drove away in was spotlessly clean, inside and out, and had a full gas tank. Tony even provided me with a second key--no charge. When we bought our previous Honda at the other local Honda dealership, we had to pay for a second key! More
Well I want to say that my Sales Consultant Steven Villafan was outstanding. He just got caught up in-between the sales manager, the front desk, and myself. I would also like to add that the Finance M Villafan was outstanding. He just got caught up in-between the sales manager, the front desk, and myself. I would also like to add that the Finance Manager Beau Cline did the best he could to get my payments where I wanted them to be. I would like to say thanks to the both of them. Now let me start with when I first arrived to Mike Maroone’s dealership on 07/29/23. I was greeted by Steven and our conversation started very well. I told Steven that I was going to get two Honda Accords that day. One for my wife and one for myself. I had two vehicles that I was trading in. A 2020 Honda Civic and a 2020 Honda Accord. Steven and I started looking for the two new vehicles. My wife wanted a Red Honda Accord and I really wanted the silver one, but they didn’t have the one I wanted so I settled for the blue. We found the two accords and went back to Stevens desk and started filling out some little paperwork. My family and I had been getting all our Hondas from Freedom Honda now Groove Honda. I was alway treated with the up most respect there and it was worth the drive to go up north. I told Steven that I would love to start doing business with Mike Maroone Honda, because it much closer to my home. Steven said that he was really sure the dealership would do anything to earn our business. I showed Steven the flyer that was sent to me in the mail stating that Mike Maroon Dealership would give me $ 24,832.00 Plus $ 5,467.00, $ 1,000.00 more, and another $ 1,000.00 for my 2020 Honda Accord Steven took the letter to the front desk and then the games started. Steven came back with numbers nothing like I was offered from the flyer. I would let you look at the flyer, but it won't upload. I will tell you that I was given about $20,039.00 for my vehicle. Now that you see what I received from Mike Maroone. That wasn’t even close to the guarantees I was quoted on the flyer. The guarantee flyer I received didn’t mean anything. Now let me tell you the reason that I didn’t receive what was stated in the letter. The first thing that was told to me was that that have to repair each rim at $125.00 dollars then because my vehicle has almost 56K they took off another $5,200.00 for that. I was pissed at this point. I could have just walked away, but I would be getting vehicle in September 2023, because my wife Lease is up then. So mow I’m talking to Beau the finance manager and telling him that I wasn’t happy with the numbers. I called my wife and told her the bad news and she told me to just leave and we will go back to Groove Honda. I told Steven, and Beau that I had to go home and talk things over with my wife. Then Jason the front desk manages comes over to me and tells me that he would take off another $1,000.00 dollars off MSRP off both of the new 2023 Honda Accords. I told him that I needed to go talk to my wife and that I was a man of my word and I would come back to tell them one way or the other what we were going to do. I left Mike Maroone Honda and went home to talk with my wife and headed to Mike Maroone Honda with my wife’s 2020 Honda Civic. They looked at her vehicle and noticed it had some hail damage and couldn’t give me what they had offered before really seeing her vehicle. I said I understand that, but what about my letter and the extra $1,000.00 off both MSRP. Beau tried to show me where all the money was placed and I still didn’t see anything. Nevertheless, I wasn’t offered anything. I told Beau that I really felt that Mike Maroone should have given us more on the trades or a check for $2,000.00 to $3,000.00. Beau said he would look into that. I was just looking at Mike Maroone website today 08/17/2023 and saw that they are selling my accord $27,000.00 after you told me that the vehicle was only worth about $20,000.00. I know dealerships are in the business to make money, but thats a very huge markup. Im just wonder how many customers this has been done too. More
