BUYER BEWARE - Fraudulent Misrepresentation of Vehicle Condition** I purchased a 2013 Toyota Corolla on June 12, 2025, from Mike Shaw Toyota for $10,500 after their salesperson texted me that the vehic Condition** I purchased a 2013 Toyota Corolla on June 12, 2025, from Mike Shaw Toyota for $10,500 after their salesperson texted me that the vehicle was in "mint condition." Since I live 3.5 hours away, I had to rely completely on their word and the photos they sent me. **What They Promised:** - Texted "mint condition" - Sent selective photos hiding damage - Assured me there were no issues when I specifically asked **What I Actually Received:** - Extensive paint deterioration and rust formation across THE ENTIRE roof, hood, and trunk - One bad tire (told all tires were "good condition") - Non-working tire pressure monitoring system - Suspension needing replacement within a year **The paint damage is so severe that bare metal is showing and rust is forming. This is NOT normal wear - this is obvious damage that existed when they sold it to me.** **Deceptive Sales Practices:** - Made me pay the full $10,500 BEFORE allowing me to sign the contract - Deliberately took photos that hid the extensive roof/hood/trunk damage - Claimed "mint condition" while knowing about obvious paint failure - Discovered all issues within 24 hours of delivery **Financial Impact:** Professional estimates show $3,000-$5,000 needed to repair the paint damage they concealed. I specifically bought this car because I needed something reliable that wouldn't need immediate repairs. **This wasn't just poor disclosure - this was deliberate fraud.** The paint deterioration covers 50%+ of the vehicle's visible surfaces. Any honest inspection would have revealed this damage immediately. **I am currently pursuing resolution through legal channels and regulatory complaints.** **AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP.** Their "mint condition" promise was worthless, and they use high-pressure tactics like demanding full payment before contract signing. Don't make the same mistake I did - inspect any vehicle thoroughly before purchase, because Mike Shaw Toyota cannot be trusted to honestly represent their inventory. **UPDATE: Dealer agreed to allow me to return the vehicle for a full refund** More

I saw a car I liked online so I went by the store. No salesman were there yet. They told me come back later. Went got breakfast, ate and came back. I drove around for a minute before stopping at the unit I wanted. It was cold. Nobody would come out. Finally, somebody came walking towards me so I walked towards him. He said he was a customer. I got back to my car parked in front of store. I walked in and chased down a salesman. No test drive. He filled out some paperwork discussed some numbers, drove my trade...a black on black on black 2018 Ford Explorer XLT 75k miles in very good condition. He said he would have an answer for me later. Later he called me. Salesman said your car is ready come get it. Done deal. I get there and I get accused of stealing someone's article of clothing that they have me on tape. I said BS call the cops. They didn't. Now they want a thousand or more so down than what was agreed. Done deal? I drove from kingsville to calallen for nothing. Came home empty-handed, a tank of gas lighter and humiliated. After 4x in the service dept for the same problem we finally got the vehicle back with bolts missing from the vehicle stopped by state trooper to warn me of the hanging piece from my vehicle. I decided my son's vehicle since he is navy bootcamp, I sold his vehicle through Ms Alaina,since my son's name on the vehicle, she needs his signature, which understand, also told her that since he is in the bootcamp,im not sure he will return those documents sooner...well,today,I found out that I'm the one responsible to pay the loan amount until they actually send them a check..I already sold the vehicle and why I still paying the loan??? she didn't explain nothing and very unprofessional. I'm beyond disappointed the way she handle and I will not purchase or deal with this company since I had this experience. More
