This is a review of Milford Chrysler in Milford, PA and in particular their service director Adam Altvater. In October of 2019 I made an appointment to bring my 2010 Ram into the dealer due to engine probl in particular their service director Adam Altvater. In October of 2019 I made an appointment to bring my 2010 Ram into the dealer due to engine problems. I inquired about a service loaner car and was told there would definitely be one available for me when I dropped off the truck. Upon arriving at the dealer I was told by the service department that a loaner was not available but they would put me in an enterprise rental at NO cost to me. A completely remanufactured engine was installed by Milford Chrysler. Upon completion of the work I was handed a bill that contained the following: a $950 charge for the supposed loaner vehicle and a $300 charge for diagnostic time. The charge for diagnostic time is not only wrong but illegal as well. First off, I have dealt with and worked for alot of auto repair shops and NO ONE charges diagnost time when they get the actual repair job. Secondly, the repair bill should have deducted the diagnostic time since the removal of the parts necessary for the actual engine replacement were already removed for the diagnosis. That is double charging for the same job: Illegal!. Then, a couple of weeks later while driving the truck, the check engine light came on and the truck started running very poor. I brought it to a local repair shop and it was diagnosed as a mis-aligned and bent connector for the map sensor. Now that cost me an additional $100. On December 31, 2019 I stopped in Milford Chrysler and spoke with service director Adam Altvater about my concerns about the overcharges. He told me the dealer would re-imburse me for the $100 outside repair bill, thec$300 diagnostic time and we agreed on half of the rental cost but he would have to discuss the re-reimbursement with his boss and he would call me on January 2, 2020. He never called and I gave it an additional week but never heard from him. I then called the dealership multiple times only to be told by the receptionist(who also happens to be Adam's wife) that he wasn't in or on another call and that he would return my call- never happened. My wife happened to be inthe area and stopped in to remind Adam that I was still waiting for his return call. Upon meeting Adam, my wife reached out to shakevhis hand and introduce herself. He refused to shake the lady's hand- HOW RUDE Adam!! The receptionist- who is Adam's wife was rude to her as well. Only because my wife was there did Adam decide to call me direct and tell me the dealer would only re-imburse me $200. Upon telling him that not what we agreed upon, he responded "with everything that going on I am debating whether or not to give you the $200. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE. They have absolutely no customer values, they overcharge, they do NOT keep their word, AND THE EMPLOYEES IN CHARGE ARE RUDE!!! They lost a customer for life!! More
I came in to see what options were for a new vehicle, as my credit wasn't so good. I met with Camden, he got me into a 2018 Jeep Renegade Altitude. I am sooo happy with my purchase, and when it's time to tr my credit wasn't so good. I met with Camden, he got me into a 2018 Jeep Renegade Altitude. I ended up getting a pretty good deal on the new truck, a GREAT deal on trade and felt like the folks at the dealership listened to what my needs were. Buyers beware. This dealership does not keep its promises. I was promised money back after they lost my personal property, and they charged me for an etch they never did. They charge $199 for etching that they don't do. I have spoken personally with John Fournier about receiving the money back for over 6 months. He told me in October that the check was on his desk. It never came, and every time I spoke with him, he said he would take care of it immediately. It never happened. We had nothing but problems with this dealership from day one, from their service department to sales. The service department had to detail my car three times because the first two times, they missed the food left in the car by the previous owner. They also lost my keys and I had to be the one to find them. They had my name wrong on paperwork several times in sales and in service, not even just my last name, my first name too. Kyle was very nice, but a good salesman needs to be supported correctly. I am so fed up with this dealership and have never felt so taken advantage of. I had such a horrible experience in buying a car (which is a huge deal for our family). I will never buy a car from them again, and I hope no one else has to go through what we went through. More
