Poor customer service, poor communication. Bait and switch I had been dealing with a representative for about 5 days and was going to go to check out a car yesterday, Sunday. The rep was not there but I texted I had been dealing with a representative for about 5 days and was going to go to check out a car yesterday, Sunday. The rep was not there but I texted him at about 1130am to make sure car was available. He was prompt with a response and assured me it was. He gave me someone to work with. Vinny. I live in Brooklyn so it was an hour in traffic to get there. I arrived about 330, however, no one seemed to know I was coming and I was kept waiting 20 mins before getting to take car for ride. I then took car for ride and then another test drive of another car. I go in to talk numbers. The Tacoma I was seeing had bad struts and shocks and things were missing. Car was 15995. I said they would have to come down to at least 15k. I could pay cash. After speaking to the floor manager, a piece of work Shareef, Vinny came back and told me that they would take a SECOND deposit on the car. Second? I say. I was told that the car was available. I wouldn't have wasted my afternoon. They then tried to shift me to the second car I test drove which was $6000 more. I said that was poor business practice and wanted to speak to manager. Shareef comes over and tells me that he is sorry but at about 2pm someone made an offer. I asked why I was done the courtesy of a call? No communication and then no apology. In fact Shareef tried to turn it on me and say that we couldn't have done the deal regardless because of what I offered. I said that is beside the point and how dare he try to turn there poor business acumen on me. So it wasn't them wasting my time it was me. I I then told them what to do to themselves (in expletive form) and walked out saying this is why used car salesman get a bad rap. I wouldn't buy the car if they offered it to me for a dollar. I suggest not doing business with them More
