I purchased a 2024 Bronco with 6,000 miles on July 16th after test driving in the rain. Vehicle was advertised as “certified”. Sales people indicated it was in like new condition. I paid approximately $57, after test driving in the rain. Vehicle was advertised as “certified”. Sales people indicated it was in like new condition. I paid approximately $57,000 after title and license. The very next day I brought the vehicle to a touch less car wash as the hood was noticeably dirty. After closer inspection, the paint is failing all over the hood and in places on the fenders. These are NOT rock chips. It’s bare down to aluminum in places and paint is bubbling around these edges. On the 18th I brought it to Shannon’s Auto Body for an inspection and estimate. I was told the paint is delaminating from hood and fenders. The estimate was $5100. I immediately brought it back to dealership to explain the situation. Riley went and got Austin the finance manager and we went outside to look at the damage. Austin immediately dismissed it as rock chips and I pointed out all the problems and showed the estimate from Shannon’s. He immediately became argumentative and rudely asked if I had spoken to Ford. I said it wasn’t my problem and they shouldn’t have sold me a vehicle with existing warranty issues. He said it wasn’t there problem anymore since I bought it. He got the manager Tim on the phone and I asked for a refund. He said they didn’t have to and it was my responsibility to work with Ford. I said I was leaving the vehicle there and I wanted my money back. He said if I left the vehicle there, he would tow it to an impound lot. I then called the police who came out to calm things down. They privately sided with me. I ended up leaving the vehicle there and they agreed to bring it to Mills Ford to file a claim on my behalf. I’m very upset still, and just want my money back in full. It should not be my responsibility to have to work through existing warranty issues on a 1 year old vehicle. They should have gotten it fixed before offering it to the public. I’m considering all my options. More
