I needed to by a car in March of 2012 as mine had died. I went in and told them I was buying a car today and whoever wanted my business the most was going to get it. The 1st place I went to in RI, jerked me around for a couple of hours doing the whole cheezy car sale thing because they knew I was vulnerable and in need. When I came to Minuteman Volkswagen in Bedord, MA and met with Bob Vigna and later Juan and told them I was buying a car today because I've been in a rental for the last week, they at first did the good cop, bad cop routine, probably out of habit, but when I started walking out, they knew I was serious and the real negotiations began. They showed me the love and I felt like they wanted my business and they were prepared to do whatever it took to win it. My wife was flabbergasted by the experience and to be honest, so was I. I've since been in for 2 routine services and 1 light bulb change and have had an outstanding experience. There has never been a cheezy service experience. They're extremely professional. I love their uniforms and their communication system. The call & email to confirm an appointment. When you drop off your car a valet greets you, does an inspection of your cars body in case they cause damage, the consumer will have a record of what it looked like upon arrival. They give you 3 options while you wait: loaner car, drop off or comfortable waiting room with free hot beverages & cold filtered water, popcorn, free wifi, tv., the newspaper & magazines. There is comfortable seating & little cocktail tables for eating a meal if you're during one of those times. Their very good about repeating back what you're looking to have done for service, making sure you both understand each other. They tell you the price up front before work is started so you can feel good about it and agree to it before starting. They check in with you during the course of the work to keep you up to date. They explain everything in detail that happened to your car while it was serviced while reviewing the invoice with you. They also wash and vacuum your car before you leave which is pretty sweet. Again, they're super friendly, professional, it's comfortable, there's no cheezy sales pushes, the service prices are fair and my car runs great. Plus, they call & email the next day to make sure your experience was 1st class and provide you with a survey if you'd like to be a bit more private. I had never owned a German car or a VW before, but my Jetta TDI runs awesome. I have never had a relationship with a dealership before, but I am enjoying my experience with both the car and Minuteman Volkswagen and I would highly recommend both a VW Jetta Diesel and MM VW and I will strongly consider shopping with them 1st next time I purchase a car b/c of these experiences. I like them. More

It’s all too common to run into obnoxious sales people who only want to get your signature and their commission as fast as possible. I am completely dismayed at the deceptive and unethical practice we were subjected to at minuteman. We were contacted to come in because you wanted to buy back the lease on our VW eos LUX. We had no intention of leaving the lease early and like everything about the car except the payments are high and we could be enticed to leave early , which is what we thought you were doing. Tim Bishop very patiently and politely showed us available options for new lease or buy but none was the right car with right options. Since the caller we spoke to ( ? safal)indicated you were still interested in a buy out of the lease because the car is in such demand, the next day my daughter went for comparison to a few other dealers and found a car that suits her for a much better price . We called back to ask if you still wanted the car and , let me remind you that minuteman VW asked us to come in , we did not in any way want a new car ..., led us to believe you wanted to sell the 2010 eos LuX we have on lease and led us to believe you wanted to buy the lease without penalty to us because you WANTED the car. We would never have come back to you had we realized that to basically give you the car we had to pay a $2600+ penalty. On the phone my daughter, who is pretty shrewd, was completely misled in this by your representative. I am a longterm VW owner. had every intention of replacing my current passat with a new one in the next year but the disrepect for our time and deception we experienced have completely soured me on your organization. I don't feel we can ever trust you to supply an honest deal. I feel this was a ruse to try to get us in to purchase or lease a new car early so you could doubly benefit, You have made us feel like fools, and wasted out time . This complaint is directed to management and should not reflect on Tim Bishop who was patient and was clearly equally a pawn in the scheme of yours. Had VW had a car that met our requirements we would have been fglad to buy from him. Trust and ethics of your good name should have been worth more than $2600. You are the losers. It is this sort of behavior that gives auto dealers such a bid reputation. More
I regret now that I bought my GTI in 2006 from them even though did not have any issues with sales department. There was few recalls that I had to do so I took my car on a Saturday morning and I was driven though did not have any issues with sales department. There was few recalls that I had to do so I took my car on a Saturday morning and I was driven back by them to my house since I only leave few miles and was told the car will be done in a few hours the service advisor was nice his name was Brendan. So I went there few hours later and the car was not finished but I told him I needed to take the car back, he said fine and told me to bring it another day and also included a complimentary oil change. Few weeks later I called to make the appointment with Christian Lahiff and told him would like to bring the car on a Saturday for the recall and needed a ride back....he was very rude to me and with an attitude he was telling me we don't have that service on Saturday's I said fine and thank you since I knew they have giving me ride back before. Couple weeks later I get a call from them and this time it was the secretary asking me to make an appointment I told her what has happened and I wasn't happy at all. She was very apologetic and told me we will get you a rental car and a complimentary oil change for the recall. So I went this morning and guess who was helping me Mr Christian Lahiff, I guess now the shoe is on the other foot. He started with the paper work and told me the oil change will be $74 I said you are wrong it should be complimentary (it wasn't about the $74 just the principal) and picked up the phone to call the rental agency, I stopped him and said give my key back and don't want to give you guys any business anymore and feel sorry that I bought the car from minuteman VW. I remember this kid years ago he used to be an apprentice there moving cars around and now moved up a step in his career and thinking he is capable of doing whatever he wants. More

For several years I have had my VW's serviced at Minuteman due to their great service. I finally got smart and leased my next vehicle, the 2012 Passat SEL V6, from Minuteman and was very pleased wit Minuteman due to their great service. I finally got smart and leased my next vehicle, the 2012 Passat SEL V6, from Minuteman and was very pleased with the process. I worked with Tim Bishop after having met him several months earlier during a service call for my previous 2009 Passat. The experience with Tim was great and he was very professional, responsive, and knowledgeable about the vehicle. I traded in a 2009 Passat and Touareg for my new Passat and have loved it ever since. It's the best VW I have owned in terms of overall driving dynamics and technology - they got it right with this car. Tim was great in delivering the car on time (actually a couple days ahead of schedule before a holiday)which was very much appreciated. I'd highly recommend Tim and Minuteman to anyone looking to experience the VW line up. More
