He listened to my request to not have all of the technology bells and whistles which I would never use and never remember how to operate, so the basic MDX model was perfect for me. For my new small SUV purchase I focused only on vehicles recommended by Consumer Reports. Other cars I was considering required upgrades to not even get to what the MDX offers in their base model. I test drove most SUVs in the luxury market before deciding on the Acura MDX. I initially test drove the MDX with George McCollough of Acura Mission Viejo. Mr. McCollough provided just the right amount of information on the car, and did not give us the hard sell we disliked at many other dealerships. After deciding on the MDX, I contacted the "Internet managers" at most southern California dealerships, except for Acura of Mission Viejo. After negotiating with several other dealerships on the phone and Internet, I contacted Mr. McCollogh to tell him we preferred to buy the car from him since he provided such good customer service when we test drove the MDX. However, since price was the deciding factor for us, he would have to match the best deal I was able to find from all the other southern California dealerships. Mr. McCollough understood we were trying to save money and said he would talk with his manager to see what they could do. About five minutes later, Mr. McCollough returned my call with the great news that Mission Viejo Acura would match the best deal I was able to find after shopping all the other dealerships. Nick was the consummate professional during our entire purchase process.
