Monroeville Mazda Collision center was the WORST place I could have chosen to take my vehicle. As a female with no experience, I felt taken advantage of and dis respected once the dealership had control of could have chosen to take my vehicle. The shop dragged out the process of deciding whether or not my vehicle was totaled and claimed that they wouldn't disclose any information to me until they knew which insurance company was taking fault. After a week of going back and fourth and jerked around about whether or not the estimate was complete, the shop manager called me to say that it was totaled and I'd need to give them the ok to fix it quickly because my rental car would run out of time. The pressure he put on me was rude, and disrespectful, and had no right making the call about whether or not the vehicle was totaled without an appraiser being sent out. I would not recommend taking your car here if it needs work done after an accident, there is no value of the customer and all they wanted was to make money off of my accident. More

Buyer Beware--I have been purchasing cars for over 12 years (every three years) and I have never experienced anything like this. Based on the pattern of the reviews, they seem to have unethical sales years (every three years) and I have never experienced anything like this. Based on the pattern of the reviews, they seem to have unethical sales practices. The first one involves taking your ss# and sending out the "rookie" and then the manger saves the day. They conducted our sales in reverse order. They told us a price, shook our hands, put the for sale sign on our used car, washed our new car, and then the finance person comes out and says we can do it, but for a hundred dollars more. Then, manipulation: deflect from the issue and talk about how bad other dealerships are. This place is one sale away from the Attorney General announcing an investigation-- drive a couple of miles and purchase somewhere else. More

I am not a confrontational person, but on this particular day at Monroeville Dodge, I actually stormed out. It started out ok, we were approached by a very nice young salesman named Tom. He wasn't pushy, was honest to a fault, but really held our attention. Unfortunately, the selling practices of this establishment are so scripted that we couldn't enjoy our day there. A salesman whom we had dealt with in the past was also there, created a slightly uncomfortable moment, but we were cordial. Tom was not allowed to talk about rebates until he asked for our SS #'s. My wife and I protested, stating that it wasn't necessary to check for rebates. Well, it was on at that moment, Vic approached, apologizing for the "rookie" and began to take over the sale. First pointing out that our intent to negotiate price first was likened to arguing over the price of groceries. Well, we do have options to shop for cheaper groceries. Then they wanted to know about our trade in, we told them that we weren't sure if we were going to trade in or possibly sell out right. This flippant response from the salesman sent me over the edge, " so you are gonna settle on a price and then dump the trade on me, I've read that same book too". Well, my rebuttal was " That is very condescending and we are out of here". I walked out, was pursued, and was offered a discounted price on the van. We left, looked elsewhere, and are about to buy from a competitor. Will never give that dealership a red cent nor recommend to anyone, not even my worst enemy. More

The manager gave me an excellent price on an 07 with 54000 miles on it the only reason I did not buy it then and there was that it was the first van I looked at. Definitely an excellent experience. Chad Carpenter at Monroeville Dodge was absolutely no pressure. They didn't have what we wanted at their site, so we gave him our specs on a used dodge grand caravan and what we wanted to pay and he call pressure. Oh, but this one wasn't the base, it had heated leather seats, dual DVD screens for the kids (with wireless headphones) and every other stinking feature we could desire! The thing drove like a dream with its 4.0 liter engine that automatically shifts into economy mode to save gas. It even has the back up camera and proximity detectors! 18 k miles on it, as well. We got $9000 for our totaled car via our insurance and put down an additional $11,000 cash for this beauty. Can't wait til the kids see it. The office staff was great and there was zero "I'll need to talk to my manager" bullspit. Dead on straight deal. Can't do better than that - ask for Chad and tell him Chuck and Jan sent you!!! More
