In December I bought a Subaru Impreza from Chilsons Chippewa Falls. It was a older model with 160K miles. I purchased it to use as a four wheel drive winter beater. Chilson's was recently bought by M Chippewa Falls. It was a older model with 160K miles. I purchased it to use as a four wheel drive winter beater. Chilson's was recently bought by Morries. February 27 I brought the car to Morries Chippewa Falls Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for a check engine light, traction control light and a flashing cruise control light. At first I was told that it needed new spark plugs and sensors and it would cost just over $2,000. Since I've had the car less than three months earlier I ask the service associate if the dealership was willing to share some of the costs. The representative said they would ask. I was called back later that afternoon and told that it need a catalytic converter and air flow sensor, total cost over $3,000 but the dealership would split the cost. I told them I'd think about it and come in the next day. When I went in I declined service and asked to speak to the store manager. I was introduced to Chad. I told Chad that I was disappointed that the second call never mentioned plugs and the first didn't mention the catalytic converter. I asked how I was to trust them. Chad said he'd look into to it can call me that afternoon. Chad never called. When I picked up the car no dash lights were showing. I don't know if the Technician cleared the codes or the car reset after been turned off for a prolonged period of time. Whichever the case its been almost three weeks and there are still no codes. This dealership recommended over $5,000 of repairs on a $7,500 car I'd bought from them less than three months earlier and right now it does not appear that any of the repairs were needed. I've bought 3 vehicles from Chilsons, including a new 2022 WRX and a Mazda Miata from Morries La Crosse many years ago. I'm disappointed in the both the service and the customer service. More
