Super disappointing experience with these guys. I purchased a vehicle from out of state. Mo was generally helpful during the sales process, despite communication that could have been better. However, once the paperwork was signed, the experience took a turn. It took more than a week to schedule delivery, and despite several phone calls, I received very little communication. The first notice that the vehicle was being delivered was a random text from the courier saying, “I’ll be there in 15 minutes.” When the vehicle arrived, I discovered several issues: The brakes had been replaced, but the sensors were never plugged back in. I had to spend $300 just to have a mechanic diagnose the problem and reconnect them. The tires were installed without the TPMS sensors, causing a warning light every time the vehicle starts. I now have to pay to have the tires removed and the sensors installed. The repair shop quoted approximately $1,500 to diagnose and correct these issues. Apparently, I should have obtained a pre-purchase inspection. Unfortunately, I didn’t know that was an option. When I explained that I had never purchased a vehicle out of state and wanted to do everything possible to ensure I was buying a solid vehicle, the only guidance I received was a video walkthrough. When I called repeatedly over two weeks, I was continually told someone would call me back. When I finally got ahold of the manager (Jamel), he was dismissive and condescending. He repeatedly talked over me and suggested impractical solutions, like bringing the vehicle back to another state or compensating me only for the wholesale cost of parts. When I told him the experience had been disappointing and that I planned to leave a review, he mumbled something and hung up on me. I paid cash for pre-owned Mercedes, travelled from Colorado to Aurora, IL for pick up. The Mercedes had major suspension malfunctions, oil issues and unsafe tires. Within 48 hours of purchase, I returned the Mercedes to Motor Cars Mitsubishi and flew home. I still have not received a refund of my money. They will not respond to any of my attempts to contact them. I discovered that this dealership was purchased by Motor Cars, Inc. in January, 2026, so any reviews for a time period before the purchase are reviews for the prior owner. FYI: Motor Cars, Inc. also owns Auto Mall of Springfield and there are sooooo many lawsuits against them for bad acts and deceptive practices. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, you should also review Auto Mall of Springfield in your due diligence. More
I will be filing an official report of harassment against this dealership for continuing contact even after many requests for no further contact. I even sent a formal letter of Cease and Desist and they have this dealership for continuing contact even after many requests for no further contact.
