When initially exploring the possibilties of purchasing my long coveted Jeep Wrangler, I first contacted Internet pricing manager,Hank Newhouse. Hank was very responsive to my requests. When visting the dealership in person we were introduced to Richard Wirt who was also attentive, knowlegable, and generally a nice person to be involved with. While we took a test drive, Mark, our appraiser worked up a figure for our trade. Upon returning we sat down with Richard and worked a deal that everyone could live with,(very fair). We did this in a timely fashion and didn't have to sit there all day and haggle over $20. The gentleman in finance was friendly and courteous, as this was a cash deal we were in and out of finance in a matter of minutes. While Richard showed us the in and outs of the dealership folks cleaned up our new Jeep and we were on our way to a wonderful lunch at the Due South Bar B Que! Our first contact at Shelor was with Kevin Moore in Finance via telephone on a Saturday. Kevin was very realistic and helpful, giving us some preliminary indicators. We we drove into the dealership. We were greeted by Taylor, who directed us politely to refreshments and seating, while he contacted Kevin. Joe Pinto became our salesperson at that point. Joe was patient. He listened to our needs and priorities and tried to match those up with a vehicle. Because mileage and mpg were important to us, he first brought round a Ford Focus. A test drive convinced us that while it would work, our teenage daughter (who was with us) might appreciate more back seat room. We talked to Joe, and he was able to show us two additional vehicles, which were not even officially on the lot yet, having gone through mechanicals but not detailing. We chose the Dodge Avenger. Our finance person, John, not only prepared and explained all of our paperwork well, he also answered all of our questions knowledgably and thoroughly. For example, being in a position where we will likely need to maintain a newer car due to the mileage we are commuting, we were interested in the break even point on the financing with Chrysler -- the point at which we might trade the vehicle in. John understood exactly what we were trying to do, did rough calculations to help us do some inital planning, and offered sage financial advice. It being a holiday weekend (and our wanting the car to go through detailing), we picked it up on Tuesday evening. There was one rather minor issue with the vehicle (a stuck air compressor button). Dewey Rotenberry arranged for it to be fixed immediately, even offering a loaner car for me to drive. The entire experience was designed to make us feel valuable as customers. It succeeded. More

This purchase was actually my fourth purchase from Shelor Motor Mile. I have purchased 2 used vehicles and two new ones. This was my first Jeep vehicle of any kind.
