Even though I spent a long day at the dealership going over pricing, cars, etc. I really did not feel pressured. We were very happy with the purchase of our new car. I will say that it is not necsessary to "SELL" a customer a car. Those little comments that we customers hear about "oh, it will do this" or "you won't will say that it is not necsessary to "SELL" a customer a car. Those little comments that we customers hear about "oh, it will do this" or "you won't have to worry about that" are not necessary. Just answer my questions and be polite. If I like the car I will buy it. Also, waiting on the paper work is a horrible experience. Make the customer as comfortable as possible. A cold drink would have been heavenly. More
I was looking for a vehicle that would meet me needs. I had gone online and looked at several and completed several applications. She wasn't condescending so i accepted her offer to come for a meeting with a salesperson and a possible test drive. Upon arriving at the facility i was immediately greeted by Mr. Chesney, I was told to ask for Jay, who then introduced me to Mr. Chesney. I immediately felt comfortable with this man. He listened to me and showed me what would best suite my needs and what i could afford. I didn't feel like he was just trying to make a sale. I feel that Mr. Chesney was looking out for my best interest. I will forever be grateful to this man. I am completely satisfied with the Yaris. The salesman with whom we dealt did his best to beat the best regional price and in fact beat the AAA price quote for this type of PRIUS. I got 6 offers over the internet. I wanted to deal locally, but your dealership came up with a price nobody could locally come close to matching. We drove 5 hours to pick up car and sign the paperwor locally, but your dealership came up with a price nobody could locally come close to matching. We drove 5 hours to pick up car and sign the paperwork. I signed and had to return 5hrs home. My wife stayed 2 days until the car was delivered. When she got home I found out that the person in charge of the financial end of the deal had sold her $1209 worth of extended warranties that I did not sign for or approve of. I bought a Toyota because of its reliability. I felt the factory warranty of 60 m0/60000 miles on the powertrain is sufficient. I still don't understand what we are getting for the extra $660. The application has plan code B67 and states 6 years/75,000 miles are covered. The actual contract has 60 mo/100,000 miles. I don't see how this helps extend anything if we reach 60 months first. Also addtional $549 charged for the road hazard coverage I already have most of this covered in my AAA PLUS policy. I guess I should have stayed the extra 3 days. Although my local dealer could't meet or beat your initial quote the car ended up costing me more in the long run. Lesson learned. Buy local. I think you took advantage of us since a woman did the final pick up of the vehicle. Won't make this mistake again. Again Tony was great to deal with and had I been able to stay to finish the transaction I would be totally satisfied. I've always had to deal with the financial people's final pitch/pressure to purchase things I don't want or need. Unfortunately this is the 1st time my wife has done the actual transaction. Please don't ding Tony as I felt he did a very low key, low pressure type of deal and he acted throughout in a very professional manner. I'd deal with him again but not with the financial pressure of the manager. Jim Redding More
