I have purchased 5 Toyota's in the past 8 years and currently own 2 Sequoias and 2 4Runners. Mt. Airy Toyota, very bad dealership customer service and extremely disrespectful of a commitment they had made with me directly. Pathetic customer service! Richard Coburn is definitely not the kind of salesperson I would EVER do business with in the future nor Mt. Airy Toyota for that matter! While he was good on the phone during my decision process, he definitely lacked integrity upon arrival. I would not trust him in ANY business dealings at this point. I drove 6 hours for a confirmed appointment to see a car and had another customer service reap text me and let me know the car was sold 10 minutes before my arrival!!!! No call Pathetic customer service! Rich Coburn is definitely not the kind of salesperson I would EVER do business with in the future nor Mt. Airy Toyota for that matter! 18 minutes ago NEW 0 STARS. My wife and I bought a 2018 4 runner here....had a great experience. As a repeat customer, we wanted to buy a Sequoia. We contacted Rick Coburn who w My wife and I bought a 2018 4 runner here....had a great experience. As a repeat customer, we wanted to buy a Sequoia. We contacted Rick Coburn who we bought from in 2018. After no contact, we contacted the General Mgr Thomas. We have emailed several times. I am at a loss on why we weren't contacted. What was a great experience in 2018 has been a terrible experience in 2023. We ended up buying our Toyota in Statesville which was a great experience. I would preferred to buy local, but Mount Airy Toyota has been a real disappointment for us in 2023. More

Huge shout out to Candice Rakes and the rest of the Mt Airy Toyota Service Team. Very professional and extremely helpful. While traveling my car started acting up. They looked at my car on a Saturday morning without an appointment and diagnosed the issue. The repair would have been completed except parts needed to be ordered. Getting the problem resolved here rather than on my return trip provides great peace of mind. Thanks for all of your efforts in getting me back on the road and headed home to New Hampshire. We were very pleased with our overall car buying experience. We're from the Charlotte area but chose Mount Airy Toyota because they gave us a much better price and trade-in value than local dealers. experience. We were able to place our order online and worked with Cindi and Richard via phone and email, so we did not have to go to the dealership until the car was available. Because we made a custom order, which Mount Airy Toyota was very happy to make, it took a while for the car to be built and shipped to the dealership. This we were expecting. Cindi and Richard kept us updated regarding the status of the car. Once the vehicle arrived at the dealership, we arranged a convenient time to pickup the car. They had the paperwork ready and it did not take too long to complete the sale with Joshua. Before we left the dealership, Richard took the time to explain the many new features this car offered (our previous make of this model was several years old). After leaving with our gorgeous new car, I called Richard twice regarding questions I had on the operation of the vehicle and he was very helpful. Thank you Mount Airy Toyota for a great experience!
