It was the worst experience I have ever had trying to buy a vehicle. Had it not been for the fact that I couldn’t find a 2015-2016 Mustang GT Premium in Ingot Silver, Auto with 20” Rims, 400a package with NAV anywhere within 400 miles, I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT FROM MULLINAX. We started on 12/4/2015, I had the first car sold out from under me while I sat there with blank check in hand for nearly an hour, ready to buy. On my next trip in to try again to buy, I then was told at the last minute that I could buy another similar but with fewer options and $7k more, 2016 vehicle, but couldn't take delivery for 30 days due to recall… REALLY?? Several days later I then drove a 3rd vehicle that was a new 2015 with 31 miles on it and… BINGO!... it had a warped brake rotor. ALL OF THESE EVENTS TOOK PLACE OVER THE COURSE OF 3 WEEKS!! I took delivery of my new 2016 Mustang GT Premium on Dec 30th 2015… I was told it was coming in via transport from somewhere else they had located…YEP, FLATROCK, MI…after it was built at the plant because they had to order it!... I have closed on a house quicker than that. I had $12000 cash to put down but we agreed to take the car home for the night and let wife drive interstate highway the next morning 12/31/2015 to see how she liked it. If there were no problems we were going to keep the car, we had until 12pm to bring the car back and they would tear up all of my paperwork and my check for the $12000 which I left overnight rather than the cash which I told the finance person MIKE RHODES that I would have to deposit on NEW YEARS EVE, which I did. He said that my check would not go to the bank until Monday 1/3/2016 due to the holiday.*Mullinax sent that check the very next day on NEW YEARS EVE!! How nice of them! Luckily it didn't bounce! That was the ICING ON THE CAKE FOR ME!! I had to go back anyway on New Year’s Eve because they also forgot to install my locking lug nut/ Enhanced Security Package that I paid $300 DOLLARS FOR. Crystal Loper the service advisor was prompt on getting the car in and out and was very courteous. Shannon Moore was my salesman along with another gentleman named Byron Boykin , Byron who tried to get the service department to repair a warped brake rotor on a brand new 2015 Mustang GT premium with 31 miles on it, that I might have possibly bought that day, but they were too busy and couldn't get it in for 2-3 days! My sales guys and Brain Walsh, the finance Manager who posed as the General Manager when I finally asked to SPEAK WITH ALVIN DAVIS THE GENERAL MANAGER, WHO NEVER NOT 1 TIME SHOWED HIS FACE or apologized for any of my inconveniences! Anyway, SHANNON MOORE, BYRON BOYKIN AND BRIAN WALSH, all friendly, professional, and patient. I feel like those 3 previously mentioned gentlemen made an effort to help me. I feel like the communication breakdowns, hassles and other snags come from somewhere else. MIKE RHODES, the finance man who told me all the BS about my check being deposited, was kind of dry and acted like he needed me out of his office and after they sent my check to the bank knowing that they saw the $12000 cash in front of them that I had to take to the bank the next day...well...Let's just say that guy… I have absolutely nothing for him or for whoever else decided to pull that stunt…BAD BUSINESS! I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT THIS INFORMATION MAKES IT INTO THE MULLINAX BROTHERS THEMSELVES SO THAT THEY CAN MAKE THE PROPER ADJUSTMENTS TO PROCEDURES AND MAYBE HELP THE NEXT GUY OUT. I WENT IN THERE WITH EXCELLENT CREDIT, CASH IN HAND AND 2 POSSIBLE NICE, LIKE NEW, TRADE INS. A 2008 HD FLHX STREET GLIDE IN BLACK PEARL, 1 OWNER, 6,100 miles with extras, TOMMY DAVIS OFFERED $8000 for trade in. 2007 VOLVO S60 2.5 T, 45,000 miles, WHITE, LEATHER, LOADED…$6000 trade in. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE DECIDED TO SELL OURSELVES. SO FAR WE LOVE THE CAR ITSELF, BUT IT WASN’T WORTH THE TROUBLE IT TOOK TO GET IT. I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT THE SERVICE AFTER THE SALE IS OUTSTANDING, BUT I’M NOT HOLDING MY BREATH FOR THAT I CAN ASSURE YOU. Regretfully, Chris S. More
