AMAZING EXPERIENCE I have bought 4 cars previous to this dealership and I have never had such amazing experience. I absolutely loved how I was treated and the price that I got for my trade in and for my new car. I will definitely be back to this dealership when it's time for another car. More
Go to Ken Garff Hyundai instead for more honesty and cheaper Murdock Hyundai's policy is "No Regrets". I had regrets and let them know and nothing was done to resolve them. As a direct comparison, my parents bought the same car from Salt Lake's Ken Garff Hyundai the day after me. Comparing both of our experiences, go to Ken Garff Hyundai! I was told that I was getting things "for their cost" but ends up that ANYONE can get the parts cheaper at Ken Garff. At "Murdock Hyundai's cost" is more expensive than Ken Garff's normal price that anyone could get. Second, they changed my loan interest rate quote on me in the paperwork without verbally informing me. Sneaky and deceptive!! Everything else went smoothly but these 2 experiences make me question Murdock managements integrity. If you buy from Murdock, be careful to review everything and call Ken Garff to do a direct comparison so you do not get taken advantage of. Todd was good to work with but Murdock Hyundai management or behind the scenes work is deceptive. Michael was nice to work with too but once again, there was a breakdown somewhere between the departments that cost me! More

I believe that consumers have a responsibility to look after one another and share their experiences. We have been loyal Hyundai owners for years and because we LOVE our 2012 Sonata, we thought we would like to trade our 2013 Impala in for another (third) Hyundai Sonata. So on June 27, 2015 we started dealing with Wyatt Averett. The sale price they offered, including rebates, was fair. But we could not come to an agreement on our 2013 Impala LT that is in near-perfect condition (new tires, detailed, oil just changed, etc). They offered only $9,000 but Kelly Blue Book and NADA list fair trade in at $12,000. Since we could not agree on the trade in, we parted friends and went our way. We were comfortable with our decision to wait as there is no urgent need to make a purchase. On July 10, 2015 Lucy Monson of Murdock contacted US and asked what they could do to earn our business and sell us a 2015 Sonata. My husband told them that the trade in offer was too low and that we wanted something closer to $12,000. She indicated that she didn't think that was an out of reach number so negotiations began again by phone. Again, my husband dealt with Wyatt, using the figures (which I have in my possession), rebates and offers that were offered in our first visit but with a trade in price of $11,000. A final price plus taxes, fees, and dealer prep was agreed upon so we left immediately and drove from Springville to Lindon to pay cash for the Sonata. As we began to go over the numbers with Michael Dillenback, we both began to question the numbers. The paperwork he showed us DID list the $1,750 rebate as offered previously, but the numbers did NOT add up to the agreed upon final price -- it was about $300 higher. Which granted, is not a large amount of money but it made us question their calculations and ethics in general. Because of past experience with another dealer and because we are new to Utah, we had some questions about the fees for licensing, titling, and registration. On a brand new car purchase, it is required that the dealer collect these fees which DMV told me should total exactly $222.50 for a 2015 Hyundai Sonata being registered in Utah Couny. On any car purchase, the consumer should check with DMV for these fees. All it takes is a quick phone call. Mr. Dillenback was impatient with our questions on the figures and other things and instead of going through the documents line by line, he left and someone else came out (I don't recall his name and his photo does not appear in the list). This man told us that they would NOT honor the deal and that we had "misunderstood" and there was "miscommunication". He said that they couldn't honor the rebate -- then WHY did Michael have it WRITTEN on the paperwork?? Wyatt did nothing to step up to the plate and tell these men that we had indeed agreed upon a particular price, one that he said he had gotten approval on! There was no miscommunication and there was no misunderstanding. In my opinion, they were being less than honest and they got caught. We did not back away from the deal first. They did. A purchase might have been made if they had patiently taken the time to explain WHY the numbers were different from those originally agreed upon with Wyatt by phone. But they didn't do that. Following our test drive, Wyatt showed us a board in their showroom that is dedicated to the misdeeds and dishonesty of other dealerships (particularly Ken Garff). I found it very strange as I believe that honesty stands on its own. You don't need to showcase the misdeeds of others to prove your own integrity. Indeed, it makes your own integrity more questionable. Sorry, but we will never buy from them. I would be willing to pay MORE to get honest, patient treatment. But I do have advice for those who are set on buying from them or ANY dealer. Utah is a "Buyer Beware State". If you call DMV, they will tell you that quite candidly. 1. Bring a calculator and USE IT. 2. If their numbers don't add up -- question them. If they get prickley and offended -- walk! 3. If you negotiate by phone, INSIST that they email the details to you. Print it out and bring it with you. Then there will be NO "miscommunication" or "misunderstanding". You will all be on the same page. 4. Call DMV with the year, make, & model so that you know what the dealer can legitimately charge you in fees for title, licensing, and registration. DMV is happy to itemize the number for you. Ask you dealer to itemize it for you. If it doesn't match DMV to the penny, then they are not dealing honestly with you. We have bought many cars in the last 30 years and this is the worst experience we have ever had. We told them to not ever call us again. More

I arrived and was immediately met with a smile and a handshake from Jonathan Williams. He and I began to discuss my needs and some ideas I had about the car I wanted. We immediately went to the lot and looked over the vehicle I found online, Jon was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions completely and without resorting to a script. One it came to the difficult part of money Jon did everything he could to get me the best deal possible. I walked away satisfied and deeply impressed, I'd come back anyday and recommend others to come in as well. More
