Murdock Auto Group started in 1982 with the opening of our Murdock Chevrolet store in Bountiful Utah. In 2005 with the purchase of our first Hyundai dealership in Orem, Utah , Murdock Hyundai began. In 2006 we purchased our Logan dealership and in 2008 we bought the Salt Lake City store . For our Hyundai dealerships our goal was simple, have a Murdock Hyundai in every neighborhood. Now we want more, we want a Murdock Hyundai in every driveway. Need More Finance Guys We waited a long time for a finance guy to help us finish (around 2.5 hours). Right after buying, I noticed a quote a competitor sent me that would ge We waited a long time for a finance guy to help us finish (around 2.5 hours). Right after buying, I noticed a quote a competitor sent me that would get me into the next model up (more bells and whistles) for about what I paid. I asked about matching that offer, but was just told there is no way the competitor could sell that car for that price and hope to stay in business. So the price match appears to be only if we feel like it at this dealership. Those were the negatives. On the positive side, Our salesman knew we were in a hurry and moved things along for his part of it. I felt that the pricing was pretty straight forward and relatively low pressure. We got a decent deal, but again, if a competitor provides a detailed price breakdown and they won't match it, there really isn't any point in talking about price matching. More
