The service department failed to refill the oil on the car I purchased. Causing the motor to go out in less then one week. Luckily the car came with a 3 Month 3000 mile power train warranty. But really? I didn't even run a full tank of gas through it yet. Murdock got me a rental car at no charge while mine is getting fixed. But from my understanding I will still have to pay my $200 warranty deductible for a repair that they caused. Update: The good: I found a nice little commuter car to get me to work. They got me financing at a good rate considering my credit. The bad: Salesman Thiago got in the driverseat and we drove off the lot before he pulled over and let me drive. Why? My wife asked about a noise she heard when we drove off. We didn't think much of it, as I didn't notice anything when driving. My wife went out on a test drive after me, because we had our 6 kids with us and we couldn't all fit in the car, obviously. When she was pulling out she got cut off in the parking lot, by some "trainer" speeding through the parking lot. More bad: We decided to go ahead and buy the car as we liked it. 3 hours later we finally got everything done and they sent the car off for detailing so we could go. Drove the car home to Eagle Mountain. Then the next morning I went to leave and noticed a clattering noise. Come to find out there was no oil in the engine and the oil light NEVER came on and a bone dry under carriage. They have record of an oil change being completed. But from what I could see it was only half done. I wound up putting 4 quarts of oil in, the day after purchase, to get a reading on the dipstick. I called the service shop, to inform them of this problem, and they told me to keep an eye on things. If there seemed to be any more problems bring it in. Well the car has now gone at least 60 miles with no oil. I bought the car on a Friday evening, I called back to schedule an appointment of Wednesday. Took the car in one week from purchase and was told the engine was bad. I just got the car back after it being in the shop for a week and a half. It's now been in the shop longer then I've had possession of it. I was left footing the bill for the deductible on a repair that was caused by the neglect of the shop. This is BS. I wouldn't had needed to be using the warranty that came with the car if it wasn't for their lack of follow through on an oil change. When I try to talk with anyone about it. They try feed me with a bunch of bull crap and shrug me off like its not their concern. I try talking with a manger and anyone with authority is out of town. I have to come back and talk with them later. "The No Regrets Dealer" my foot. In the end. Yes the gave me a rental to use while my car was in the shop. But they won't stand behind their work or listen to a customer. No I wasn't an ASE master tech for 5 years for nothing. More
