I contacted this dealership about purchasing a certified RX 350 F Sport and since I live in Florida and the dealer is in Georgia, I was told that I would need to fly there because having the vehicle shipped RX 350 F Sport and since I live in Florida and the dealer is in Georgia, I was told that I would need to fly there because having the vehicle shipped would take 2-3 weeks after paying the down payment and cost over $1000. So, I bought a $400 plane ticket and flew to Atlanta. I got to the dealership thinking everything was for the most part done since there was so much back and forth on the phone/email before deciding to fly there in person. To my surprise, the vehicle was disgusting inside. It had not been cleaned, it had sticky residue, crumbs, stains and was just gross. It was also covered inside with what seemed like pollen dust. I had to argue about the condition because it was allegedly detailed the day before. I had to wait over an hour for the car to be cleaned and then 2 hours for paperwork and finishing the deal. I finished the paperwork and then went to get into the car - it was cleaner this time - only to see no floor mats. I had purchased some weather tech mats for $226 and then I made the drive back to Florida - 8.5 hours. I got home and showed the vehicle to my family and realized it was missing the trunk cover. I don't know if it was taken out when the floor mats were put in or what, but I emailed. They did offer to resolve that, so I can give them credit there. BUT, the next day, it seemed like the vehicle was leaking oil, so I contacted my amazing local dealership who got the car in and inspected it. Turns out the vehicle had undisclosed DAMAGE indicating either a minor accident or it bottomed out. The clips were broken, the bumper was cracked, there was marks that could only be seen when you got underneath the car. I purposely purchased a certified vehicle to avoid any issues like this. While the dealership cancelled the deal and picked up the car, I did not get reimbursed or compensated for my time or the actual money that I spent in buying the vehicle. I requested they reimburse me for the plane ticket, and it was declined. $400 and even Lexus Brand Engagement said the dealer has final say and if they decide no, then they support that. Just for the principle, Lexus has lost a loyal customer for life. My previous 2 vehicles were brand new Lexus vehicles, and I was about to buy a third, but with this, I am done. I can't believe it. I am so disappointed in Lexus and the way this was handled. It is also comical that when my TX had a recall, the brand sent me gifts worth more than $400 for my inconvenience, but nothing for this mess. What a joke. More
