DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME - False advertising I was searching for a very specific model and color of Toyota Sienna (new 2015 Sienna L) that came with the lifetime powertrain warranty and one Sunda I was searching for a very specific model and color of Toyota Sienna (new 2015 Sienna L) that came with the lifetime powertrain warranty and one Sunday morning I found it for a great price on Edmunds.com at Toyota of Union City GA. The dealership was open on Sundays so my husband and I decided to start heading that way (we live 3.5 hours away) and I would call to confirm once they opened. When I called (about 30 minutes into the trip) I was assured by the customer service rep. that they were having great deals and I could likely get more money off that price. I explained our situation and she promised to have a salesman call back ASAP so that they could confirm the price. We received a call about 15 or 20 minutes later from the salesman and I asked him to confirm the price, that the van was in stock, and for details on the lifetime warranty that was advertised in the pics of the van. He promised to get all the info and call us right back - I told him we were driving that way, but did not want to come that far if we would not be able to get that exact van at the price advertised. 1 Hour later we still had not received a call and I had to call the CSR back. She said she would have the salesman call again ASAP. A few minutes later, she called back to let me know the paperwork was all ready and they had the van ready to go. I told her we were still waiting on the price and warranty information. She again said she would have salesman call us. He called a few minutes later and told us his best price was 28,250. I told him we had a price protection certificate from Edmunds.com for under 26,000. He said we must have the wrong dealership. I assured him we did not, as I got the address and phone number from the certificate itself. He put me on hold and then came back and said if I could produce the certificate, they would honor it. I then asked him again about the warranty and this time he informed me they have no lifetime warranty. I told him it was advertised in the picture of the van and he again told me I had the wrong dealership. I explained to him not only did the pic have a lifetime warranty advertised, but it also had the name of their dealership and their website address. Finally, he went to his website and admitted it was there but he didn't know why and there was nothing he could do about it because they didn't offer lifetime warranty. At this point, I told him to forget it. We were only 1.5 hours into the trip and I certainly wasn't going to drive another 2 hours for a price that we may or may not get, especially with the false advertising. Later, they sent me several emails saying I missed my appointment and I explained WHY and never heard anything back. Very upset we wasted 3 hours of our Sunday because of their false advertising. By the way, the pic that has the lifetime warranty, the name Toyota of Union City, and their web address is STILL posted a week later. We have since bought a brand new 2016 Dodge from a local dealership (EXCELLENT buying experience) with a built-in DVD player and got it for about $10,000 less than we would have paid for the base model Sienna. More

Registration problem Purchased a new 2016 Tacoma in Dec. 2015. I requested a registration transfer from my 2011 Tacoma to the new Tacoma. Registration paperwork sent to N Purchased a new 2016 Tacoma in Dec. 2015. I requested a registration transfer from my 2011 Tacoma to the new Tacoma. Registration paperwork sent to North Carolina was wrong. Paperwork requested a new registration for a 7000 lb weighted vehicle. The dealership was non responsive. the mistake was considerable and It took me 2 months and 2 trips to the North Carolina Motor Vehicle Department to resolve the registration issues. The Dealer's decision to ignore their mistake shows a deficiency in their customer service. Everyone makes mistakes. It's how we deal with them that's important. Beware. More
Never helped with cancellations of warranties They never did cancel them for me, even though I asked well within the 30 day time frame. And when I finally decided to fax cancellation form to warranty company, they said the dealership never even said I paid for one of the four I was cancelling, though I signed to pay them $1099 for that particular warranty. So I may have paid $1099 for no warranty and not ever have known! Also, when I gave the salesman a score of 5 out of what? on the Toyota survey, he called to tell me he was suspended due to my action on the survey about him. The whole deal with them makes me upset that I ever went to them in the first place. More
Unperformed service Took my 2014 Tundra in for service. They were supposed to rotate tires, change oil, etc. I am older and much wiser now so before I left, I marked both of my rear tires at the valve stem with a red sharpie to make sure the service was performed. When I arrived to pick up my truck, it was sitting outside. The first thing I did was looked at the back tires...surprise, the red arrows were still on the back tires. I went in and spoke to the Asst. Service Manager, Jeff Waddy. I casually asked if they rotated the tires and he said yes (and that was indicated on the ticket). I said, no they didn't and told him the tires had been marked. There is no way of telling how many services were NOT actually performed on other customer cars. If I had not marked my tires, I would not have known. Toyota of Union City is VERY UNETHICAL and I WILL NOT be doing business here again. The truck was also purchased from this dealership...never again! If I could give them a 0 rating I would! More
