I called Libertyville Ford this morning for pricing on a new Mach E. Neal gave me pricing for both leasing and financing over the phone. I arrived, and spoke with a different sales person, Michael, because new Mach E. Neal gave me pricing for both leasing and financing over the phone. I arrived, and spoke with a different sales person, Michael, because Neal was not there, even though he said he would be there until 7 pm. Test drove the car, loved it. We go back in to talk numbers. All of a sudden the prices I received on the phone were "not possible" and they wanted several thousand dollars more. All kinds of options added on too. Even after taking out all these extras (seen on the deal sheet) the price was still thousands above what Neal told me on the phone. The manager, Dave, said there was no record of my call with Neal. I called the phone number on their website directly, but somehow their system has no record of my call? INCREDIBLY suspicious. It's a real shame because I was ready to wire the money and drive it home. Back to the drawing board to find a dealer that won't lie to get me in the door. More
