Terrible to deal with. Bought vehicle in Feb 2020 brought back in to check a noise and they wouldn't check it out cause said it would be under warranty. Brought to another dealership and they said t brought back in to check a noise and they wouldn't check it out cause said it would be under warranty. Brought to another dealership and they said this should have been fixed before selling car. Also failed to tell me until I did all paperwork that there was only one key. Place is a joke and would never recommend to anyone. Wish I could give less than a star More
My wife and I went to a dealership to look at a vehicle listed at $23,000 on the internet. During the process, when the sales manager George wrote up his sales offer, he added $1,995 to their sticker pric listed at $23,000 on the internet. During the process, when the sales manager George wrote up his sales offer, he added $1,995 to their sticker price for the cost of a preinstalled GPS device and protective finish with a 7-yr warranty already applied on the vehicle. After some discussion, he finally agreed to lower the total price by $1,700 and no further because he was going to lose money. Due to the low trade-in he offered on my vehicle, I decided against the trade and declined the “installed” options on the vehicle my wife wanted. To make a long and very unpleasant story short, they finally sold us the vehicle for the $23K plus tax and doc fees. At the closing, they added $166 to the sales price for cleaning up the vehicle. When I asked about the installed GPS device and paint protective warranty on the vehicle, I was told they are not on the vehicle since I declined them. In all fairness to our salesman Mitch, I would recommend him to anyone who is in the market to buy a vehicle. He was very helpful and kind and I would work with him again. Just understand that Mitch is not the decision-maker. Read the negative reviews regarding this dealership carefully. There is good reason why a common theme runs through the complaints: dishonest management, and inflating advertised sales prices with hidden charges/costs. Buyer beware, esp. of this dealership. More
Bait and switch!! I am searching for my daughter's first car. I found one that she likes at Napleton Kia of Elmhurst. The price was listed at $9985, but that wasn't the actual price. Dealership had hidden f car. I found one that she likes at Napleton Kia of Elmhurst. The price was listed at $9985, but that wasn't the actual price. Dealership had hidden fees that added an additional $5294 to the price and that did not include taxes. So, a car listed at $9985 is actually well over $15K. SNEAKY and very UNPROFESSIONAL. Seems like this would be illegal!! More
My sales person, Klaryssa was very professional and made the car buying experience pleasant and easy. Her Manager and the finance Manager Chris all made me feel like my business was appreciated. Terrible experience!! I live 2 hours away from this dealership and they said they would have the car I was interested in ready to go when I arrived. Not! They didn’t even know what car I was talking ab dealership and they said they would have the car I was interested in ready to go when I arrived. Not! They didn’t even know what car I was talking about! After they got it out and showed it to me and I was interested in buying it they threw in a surprise. They charge an extra $1995.00 for a protection plan on all their cars. You can’t opt out of it and they don’t even tell you about it up front! So whatever car you decide to buy there is an extra $2000 added to the price....and that doesn’t include documentation fees. I would never even think about buying a car from them. Stay away! More
I called a couple of weeks ago to try and obtain proof of sale. Spoke to a "Chris" and he could not find the sale in their system. Apparently, we have been paying a loan through a lender that apparently Napl sale. Spoke to a "Chris" and he could not find the sale in their system. Apparently, we have been paying a loan through a lender that apparently Napleton didn't sell us. I have gotten service there twice, once for a recall. Each time they found me in the computer. "Chris" seemed less than interested in helping me figure this out. So according to them, I guess I walked on to their lot, gave them my old car, and just drove off with this 2016 Kia. I am disappointed with the service after the sale. Be careful of a dealership that loses track of what they sell and who they sell it to. As well as it is good to put customer service ahead of everything else. Hope they got a decent profit off my old car :/ More
I am surprised of the high rating received for their service department. I purchased my second Kia here in 2016. Unfortunately, I have had bad experiences most of the time. The latest was that my car needed a part due to a warning light showing up on my dashboard. I took it in on a Wednesday and was told that the part would be coming in on Monday or Tuesday. It is now Thursday, and I have yet to hear from them. The worst is that I have been calling their service department for the past 2 days and the phone just rings, and no message can be left. Today, I called and told the operator my situation as I asked to speak with a manager. I was transfered and again no answer, but fortunately this time I was able to leave a message. So far I have not been able to drive my car for more than a week. I have a compromised immune system and don't want to go in without an appointment. I usually wait for hours, as I have done so in the past. Last year I took in my car for a recall. As it was being serviced the mechanic broke a part in the interior of my car and they did not have that part at the time to replace it. It was placed on order. I had to drive for 6 months without interior lights because I never received a call back, nor had my messages returned. I finally had to go in personally to resolve the issue. Don't get me wrong, the staff are very friendly, but obviously overworked or understaffed or probably both. Now it's a waiting game to see if I hear from them. More
Watch your wallet!!! Negotiated a fair price with sales person. They make you wait a long time for a finance manager, who makes you think he is a friend and had your best Negotiated a fair price with sales person. They make you wait a long time for a finance manager, who makes you think he is a friend and had your best interest. He distracts you when signing papers. If you don't watch it will have fees for everything. Then there's the useless warranties, tire and wheel, windshied, and repair from companies that have Bad Business Bureau.ratings. Not a dealer I will ever do business with again!! What about you?? More
Car not for sale at advertised price. I will try to stick just to the facts. Saw the ad on for a used Hyundai Elantra on Cargurus.com. Sent them my email and phone to contact me. Which the I will try to stick just to the facts. Saw the ad on for a used Hyundai Elantra on Cargurus.com. Sent them my email and phone to contact me. Which they did quickly. Set up a time after work to see the car. (it is an hour away from my home) After arriving at the dealership, we are asked to come inside and the salesman explains about their "Napleton Care" . Essentially a bunch of extras that they are trying to sell. I'm ok with that, that is their job. We take a test drive and like the car, although it is not showroom new. But we are interested. So we go back inside and talk to the salesman. We have excellent credit so there is no problem there. He asks what I want for a monthly payment.- I tell him I want a 60 month loan. He says my payment will be close to $400 mo. I ask at what interest rate?? He says he can't tell me that. Only the finance guy can. He suggests a 72 month loan. I say no. I will only go 60 mo. My figuring at an interest rate at my bank had me at $250 mo for 60 mo. That was for the price of car, sales tax and a few hundred on top. I relay to him the above info and he states there are more charges than that. I ask what are they? He says the finance guy can answer that, he can't. I tell him I can just get a loan through my bank. He says "So you don't want the car?" I say no, I am interested, but I can get a loan through my bank. He obviously doesn't want that because he goes on to state how many banks they work with etc. He says to give him a minute and leaves again. Comes back and says he can get us .5% less interest rate for 60 mo. I say that is a great rate. But the monthly payment is still $35 mo higher than what I figured. (lower rate, but higher pymt?) So this time I ask how much is being financed? They say "price of car, tax, title, license, and other things." "What other things?" I ask. That is when he mentions about the "Napleton Care" stuff again. I say "oh, I don't want any of that." He says that it is part of sale, already installed. I ask him to uninstall it. He says he doesn't know if that can be done. He goes to his manager (I think) Manager? comes out and states that the "Napleton Care package" comes with the car. I tell him, I don't want that. I just want the car. He says it is already installed. I say uninstall it then. He says they can't, that it is already installed. (at this point I'm ready to leave and get up) I tell him that it is underhanded to advertise a car at one price, but then say you can't buy it at that price because you have "added value" to it. I then leave. I realize that it is a business and money has to be made, but this is what I consider false advertising. I would not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle here. More
