The vehicle itself is in good shape, so this review is dealership⚠️ I purchased a 2023 Santa Fe vehicle with under 30k miles, certified pre-owned. The vehicle itself is in good shape, so this review is about the CPO inspection process and how the dealership handled the issue afterward. The inspection report I received at purchase stated the tires were in good condition and the car needed nothing. Two weeks later, before a long road trip, I took the car to an independent shop for a once-over because the back left tire kept losing pressure. Their assessment was that the tread on all four tires was not at safe driving levels and the back left tire had a hole in it. I had to replace all four tires as this was the day before traveling. When I followed up with the dealership, their response was that I should have brought the vehicle back to them. They are not close to where I live, I was leaving the next day, and the issue was a safety one I could not delay. ‼️There was no offer to cover what they had missed on their own inspection. The position was that the fault was mine for getting it fixed elsewhere.‼️ If you are considering a CPO vehicle from this location, treat the inspection report as a starting point and pay for your own independent inspection before you commit. The certification did not catch a tire with a hole in it, and the dealership was not willing to stand behind the report once I found out. More
